No doubt this would be expected since this is a Halloween Special, and how Shrek has Nightmare Fuel up its sleeve.
- Doubles as Funny, but this version
of "Welcome to Duloc" is pretty dark. Comes complete with the photo being nightmarishly warped and accompanied by a deep voice from nowhere telling everyone to GET OUT. - Despite the generally humorous nature of the whole thing, the final scene of "The Bride of Gingy" is genuinely disturbing, with hundreds of Sugar zombies invading Gingy's house while chanting "Together Forever!" in unison. The dark lighting and Gingy being completely cornered in his house by the love-crazed horde, combined with the various states of distorted decorations all over the bodies of the Sugar zombies are in only further heightens the disturbing nature of it all.
- Even before she was zombified, Sugar herself is fairly creepy, being someone who, due to excess sugar in her creation, is so ridiculously clingy that she refuses to stop trying to be with Gingy (even if the excess sugar was his fault). It starts getting to the point she shows up in places wherever Gingy tries to hide, and even tries to get him to commit suicide with her so they can be "together forever".
- That last moment gets even creepier when Sugar says "together forever" before falling into the mixing bowl, a second, deeper voice says the line along with her. What exactly was speaking with her at that moment?

- During Puss' tongue bath, the innkeeper enters the bathroom and murders Puss, indicated by the cut to Puss' fur (which, due to the reddish color, looks like blood) going down the drain. Very fitting considering it's the segment's mandatory "Psycho" Shower Murder Parody.
- When Puss turns the tables on Donkey, he has him being chased by a waffle who eats him alive.Donkey: (before being eaten alive) I'll switch to pancakes!
- A bird in the hand is worth two in the BUUUUUUUUUSH!
