As a Moments subpage, all spoilers are unmarked as per policy. You Have Been Warned.

The book:

  • The scene where Fledgeby, pretending to be Twemlow's friend, actually orders Mr. Riah not to help him. Twemlow is not only deceived by Fledgeby, he thanks him for his "help". And Fledgeby finds this hilarious!

The series:

  • John Rokesmith's flashback to how he supposedly died, where he imagines his body lying in place of the murdered man.

  • Headstone's attack on Eugene is just as terrifying here as in the book. If not more terrifying, because here we get to see Headstone beat Eugene. And then he picks up an oar and hits Eugene with that, before throwing him in the river.
