     Hero Dialogue
  • A lot of Strider Hiryu's dialogue as an EX skin is taken from Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, with the last quote being one of his classic win quotes ever since Marvel vs. Capcom.
"I am the hunter. You are the prey."
    "There is no escape.. Legion!"
    "Time to end this. Ragnarok!"
"Your weapons are too good for the likes of you."

     Hero Skins
  • Ryu's "Blue Headband" skin is from Street Fighter II' Champion Edition and his "Yellow Headband" skin is from Super Street Fighter II Turbo.
  • Rathalos's skins are based on the Azure and Silver variants of its species that originated in Monster Hunter World and its Iceborne expansion respectively.
  • Jill's "Bleached Hair" skin is inspired by her brainwashed look from Resident Evil 5.
  • Ammy's "Ume" skin is based on the dog of the same name from Okami.
  • X's skins are based on weapons from Mega Man X4, those being the Double Cyclone and the Rising Fire.
  • Nero's "White Jacket" is from Devil May Cry 5 and is based on The Order's uniforms, as well as having Credo's hair color. The "Nico's Jacket" skin is based on... well, Nico, giving him the same hair color as her too.
  • Felyne's skins change it to be the same fur color as a Melynx with the "Melynx Black" skin, and the other resembles a Tigrex ("Tiger Yellow").
  • Dante's "Black Hair" skin originated in Devil May Cry 4's Special Edition, being based on the reboot version of himself. His other costume, "Vergil Blue", is based on his brother.
  • Zero's "Black Zero" costume is from Mega Man X4.
  • Wesker's "Ready for Battle" skin is simply him with his sunglasses removed, refrencing his look towards the endgame of RE5. The "Chaotic Coat" skin is a special case of refrencing a different franchise, resembling the Chaotic variant of Gore Magala that originated in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.
  • Nergigante's "Arch-Tempered" skin is based on a variant of its species of the same name from MHW.

     Day of Nightmares

     The Devils Awaken
  • The expansion as a whole is a Whole-Plot Reference to Devil May Cry 5.
  • The "Crimson Battle-King Ken" card has the Anti-Air mechanic, as well as getting an additional buff if a unit with flight is present when it levels up. Fittingly enough, he’s depicted performing the Shinryuken.
  • The "Awakened Power" and "Battle at the Summit" cards show the moments when Nero unlocks his Devil Trigger and stops Dante and Vergil from killing each other at the end of DMC5.
  • The "Dead Weight" card shows the memetically infamous moment from DMC5 where Dante calls Nero "dead weight" during the first battle with Urizen.
  • The "Desperate Act" card shows the climax from Chris’ campaign in Resident Evil 6 where Piers injects himself with the C-virus to defeat C-Haos and save Chris

     The Force Seekers
  • The Force Seekers is based primarily on Street Fighter. It should be noted however that almost all cards related to Devil May Cry and Resident Evil are based upon DMC2 and RE Code Veronica respectively.
  • "Double-Team" has R. Mika performing her Deadly Peach super move on Laura on the Hillside Plaza stage.
  • The Vega card added in this expansion has him perform his Flying Barcelona Attack on his stage from SF2.
  • "Fate of the Unworthy" shows the scene from RE5 where Excella dies due to her body rejecting the Uroboros virus.

     Haunted by Memories
  • "Destined Confrontation" depicts Dee’s ending from Darkstalkers 3/Vampire Savior where the now evil Donovan meets with a teenage Anita.

     Dragons of War

     Island of Fear

     Mission of Ruin

     Breath of Resistance
  • The "Death's Release" card depicts Leo mourning the death of Blade, the former leader of his bodyguard unit. In the original game, he was brainwashed by Scion, while in Teppen, his brainwashing came at the hands of the Goddess Myria.

     30 MINUTES.EXE
  • Every Mega Man Battle Network character included is from the first game. ShadowMan.EXE even appears without his NetOp Dusk, reflecting how he was a rogue NetNavi in the original game.
  • F.A.N.G.'s NetNavi squad are the four Shadaloo Shock Troopers from the Street Fighter: The Movie, made canon thanks to Street Fighter V's website.
  • The flavor text for the Battle Chip-RedArremer (3ME 015) card refers to him as "the Red Blaze" implying he's Firebrand from the Gargoyle's Quest spin-off series.

     The Daymare Diary

     THE BEAUTIFUL 8

     Absolute Zero

     Schoolyard Royale
  • Sigma and Eratoeir are wearing their "Gangsta Boy" and "Gangsta Girl" costumes from Mega Man X DiVE's "Campus Festival" event. Colonel and the enemy Reploids are also designed after their apperences in that event.
  • The Sengoku BASARA characters included in the expansion are using their redesigns from the series' own High School AU, Gakuen BASARA.
