SunStroke Project is a Moldovan musical trio.
The group is best known for their participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, most notably in the 2010 edition with vocalist Olia Tira. Though they finished towards the bottom of the leaderboard in the final, SunStroke Project became viral sensations for their "Epic Sax Guy", saxophonist Sergey Stepanov. Their performance of the track spread well outside the Eurovision bubble, exposing both them and the song contest to a wide new swath of international audiences.
SunStroke Project returned to Eurovision in 2017 with the song "Hey Mamma", and although this performance didn't reach the same viral heights of their first, it finished third in the final, giving Moldova their best-ever result in the competition.
The composition of SunStroke Project has changed over the years since their formation, but the most commonly associated lineup consists of Sergey Stepanov, Sergei Yalovitsky, and Anton Ragoza, while former members include Aleksei Myslitsky and Pasha Parfeny, the latter of whom competed for Moldova at Eurovision in 2012 with "Lăutar".
