SHEORU is a North American Metalcore band formed virtually in 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The band's lineup is comprised of vocalist Victor Borba (of Devil May Cry 5 fame), guitarists Timothy Mah and Danny Chu, and Spiritbox drummer Zev Rose. The band showcases a loud, hard-hitting sound which draws heavily from various djent bands from the 2010s and the present day, and have performed djent covers in addition to releasing two original singles in 2022, "ITB" and "Escape".

The band provides examples of:

  • As the Good Book Says...: "ITB" and "Escape" reference the Old Testament books Genesis and Exodus, respectively.
  • Cover Version: Of "Hereafter" by Architects.
    • Victor Borba is well-known for his many covers of 2010s metal songs, as well as some non-metal covers from the pop, rock, and anime music genres.
  • Djent
  • Darker and Edgier: Than most modern bands in their genre, harkening back to the early days of the djent scene.
  • Metalcore: A heavy influence on their sound.
  • Soprano and Gravel: Victor Borba's dual vocal style is impressive for a self-taught vocalist, as he is able to utilize proper technique for both clean and harsh vocals to a more or less equal extent.
