I know you moved onto someone new
Hope life is beautiful
You were the light for me to find my truth
I just wanna say, thank you
Hope life is beautiful
You were the light for me to find my truth
I just wanna say, thank you

- A Wild Rapper Appears!: Macklemore in "These Days".
- Break-Up Song: "These Days" is about the narrator and his ex-girlfriend breaking up but hoping they find new loves and hoping they can just look back and laugh without any worries.I hope someday we'll sit down together
And laugh with each other 'bout these days, these days
All our troubles, we'll lay to rest, and
We'll wish we could come back to these days, these days - Design Student's Orgasm:
- The cover for "Home", which shows the Dalston Peace Mural.
- The cover of "Toast to Our Differences", which shows a man wearing a cowboy hat sitting in what appears to be a painted bath tub with the album's title written on it.
- Determinator: "Not Giving In"Mm, not giving in
I'm not giving in
Not giving in
Ooh, I'm not giving in, yeah-yeah
This time I'm gonna be stronger, I'm not giving in
This time I'm gonna be stronger, no, not giving in - In My Language, That Sounds Like...: "Not Giving In" became a meme in Finland, because the title sounds like "nakkivene", which translates to "wiener boat" in Finnish. When the group performed the song at a Finnish music festival, people threw wieners with small "sails" at the stage.
- Let's Duet: "These Days" between Dan Caplen and Jess Glynne.
- Looped Lyrics: "Feel the Love".You know I said it's true
I can feel the love
Can you feel it too
I can feel it ah-ah
I can feel it ah-ah - Mascot: Ground Control prominently features an anthromorphic boom box on the cover and advertising.
- Sampling: "Alibi" is mainly based on "Gangsta's Paradise", which itself was based on "Pasttime Paradise".
- Self-Titled Album: Their fifth album RUDIM3NTAL.
- Shout-Out: Their fourth album Ground Control is named after "Space Oddity". Their label "Major Tom" makes the reference more obvious.

- You Are Not Alone: "Walk Alone".And you may walk a lonely road
But you will never walk, walk, walk alone
Whoa, c'est la vie
'Cause something's wrong with me
But whoa, at least I am free, oh, oh, I am free
'Cause something's wrong with me
But whoa, at least I am free, oh, oh, I am free
