The duo formed in 2013, though they started to gain notice in 2015 with their single "Rave It". This has led them to release music in big record labels, such as Hexagon in 2016, NCS in 2017, and Future House Music in 2018. In 2019, Maxximize Records, Blasterjaxx's record label, signed their songs, which would later lead to a collaboration with Blasterjaxx as their most streamed track, "Bodytalk (STFU)", in 2020.
I'm feeling good right now, don't need you to trope me again:
- Animated Music Video: The music video for "Rabbit Hole" with Blasterjaxx is an animated video of a rabbit entering a glowing tunnel.
- Deliberate VHS Quality: The video for "1995" uses a film grain effect to emulate the song and video's retro aesthetic.
- Instrumentals: Much of their earlier NCS releases such as "Bubble" contain no lyrics at all.
- Limited Lyrics Song: So Happy's only lyrics are "I can't lie, mesmerized, by these lies, I'm so happy", repeated over and over.
- Money Song: "Rich" has the singer bragging about their wealth and comparing themselves to Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
- Ordinary People's Music Video: The music video for "So Happy" contains an ordinary woman dancing in the streets and public areas. Outside the drops, she just walks while carrying a boombox.
- Retraux: The Lyric Video for "1995" emulated a 90s aesthetic with an old-school TV concept and multiple colorful geometric shapes.
