Benjamin Fernando Barajas Lasky, better known by his stage name Quadeca, is an American singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer. Lasky began on the internet by uploading rap songs, music videos, comedy sketches, and video game gameplay to his YouTube channel. At the beginning of his career, starting in 2011-2012, he began as a You Tuber posting such things from trickshots to FIFA gameplay, using that to leverage his music on YouTube, which he would then get popular from, gaining recognition from his rap content, including freestyles, mixtapes, and music videos. His first album, "Work In Progress" released in 2015, and in 2016 and 2017, his following two mixtapes, Nostalgia for the Now, and Bad Internet Rapper would release.
He gained a huge amount of traction in 2018, due to his beef with Creator/KSI, causing him to make a diss track, and get into a FIFA match with him, fortunately, Quadeca did win.
In 2019, he released the project "Voice Memos", which is where his producing and lyrical efforts started to shine through on tracks like "The Man on My Left Shoulder" and "A Dream I Can't Remember".
Later in 2021, after an extremely long rollout, and an extensive amount of teasers, Quadeca released "From Me To You", which is where Quadeca slowly started to prove himself as something other than a YouTube rapper to most. The project focuses on the subject of mental struggles, and symbolizes mental challenges as mountains, which also contributes to the matching visuals which go along with the album.
In 2022, Quadeca released his most acclaimed album, "I Didn't Mean To Haunt You", which is a concept album detailing the idea of life after death. The album takes place from the view of Quadeca as a ghost after commiting suicide, travelling through his life with the people around him not knowing that he's there. It details his extreme want to be seen by his peers and family members, even going to the extent to try and kill his own mother via carbon dioxide poisoning, symbolized by a guest verse from rapper Danny Brown.
