We don't care about the young tropes talking 'bout the young style:

  • Alliterative Title: Darker Days.
  • Animated Music Video: "Young Folks" has stylistic Limited Animation made to look like a moving comic.
  • Back to Front: The music video for "Second Chance" is set backwards.
  • Design Student's Orgasm: The cover of Gimme Some is a disembodied blue hand with three thumbs sticking out on top.
  • Epic Rocking: "Up Against the Wall" is 7 minutes long.
  • Silly Love Songs: "Young Folks", which is about the narrator and his girlfriend not caring about anyone else but talking to each other.
And we don't care about the young folks
    Talking 'bout the young style
And we don't care about the old folks
Talking 'bout the old style too
And we don't care about their own faults
    Talking 'bout our own style
All we care 'bout is talking
    Talking only me and you
  • Idiosyncratic Episode Naming: Every album after the first (a simple Self-Titled Album) has a two-word title of [two-syllable word] [one-syllable word].
  • Special Guest: Victoria Bergsman in "Young Folks".
