Twitch Plays Pokémon Red

• The Helix Fossil. ^Explanation The viewers often force Red to look at his bag and use useless-in-context items, most common being the Helix Fossil, a Nugget, a Moon Stone and the S.S Anne ticket. All of these items are also worshiped as gods by the viewers.

  • Secret Key! Tell us your secrets! ^Explanation A while after Helix Fossil was revived, Red ended up with only the Secret Key, the item that unlocks the Cinnabar Gym, in his inventory. It immediately took over Helix Fossil's role as the frequently "consulted" inventory item.
• False Prophet Flareon. ^Explanation After Eevee was added to the party, rather than saving room for Lapras, people rallied against the "false savior under the Dome". Seeing hope, they soon realized that Eevee could be made useful by being evolved into Vaporeon with a Water Stone. Cue about an hour spent in the Pokémart buying useless dolls and ... Fire Stones. After the Hive Mind gave up with evolving Eevee, they attempted to deposit it into the PC...releasing ABBBBBBBK and Jay Leno in the process. A few misclicks later, Eevee was evolved into the dreaded (and less useful) Flareon, further digging them into a hole.
• The Keeper ^Explanation After Drowzee, Flareon, and the Helix Fossil were all put in the PC, Drowzee was dubbed "the Keeper" because it was claimed to be keeping the Helix Fossil safe and using its powers to prevent Flareon from breaking out and wreaking more havoc.
• I wanna get off Giovanni's Wild Ride!^Explanation The Mob spent over a day stuck in the Team Rocket Headquarters, bouncing between spinning tiles, wandering out, before getting sucked back into the maze. The name is based off of a meme from RollerCoaster Tycoon.
• Bird Jesus ^Explanation  A nickname for the Pidgeot in Red's party, which is somehow roughly twenty levels higher than everyone else. The name "Bird Jesus" came from the letters in his name, "aaabaaajss", as well as the fact that he singlehandedly floored Sabrina's team after the rest of Red's mons had fainted, saving us from a white out.
  • Do unto others EXACTLY as they just did to you. ^Explanation Bird Jesus learned Mirror Move as one of its few potentially damaging moves.
• Digrat. ^Explanation The team's second Rattata, which became a Raticate, knows Dig, which, when used, flees from whatever dungeon Red is in. This led to the Team Rocket HQ having to be navigated not once but several times over the course of day five. Including after beating Giovanni himself but before picking up the Silph Scope necessary to make further progress.
• Bulbasaur's cry. ^Explanation Red often selects to view the Pokédex, with Bulbasaur being the first Pokémon and the most likely chosen cry. It's also the only Pokémon not picked as a starter, making it a Woobie to the fandom.
  • "Hold on; I have to check if Bulbasaur's cry has changed in the past 5 minutes."^Explanation Said by Red as an in-universe reason for all the Pokédex checking.
• "I wonder where my partner went." ^Explanation Being stuck in Pokémon Mansion◊ for about 1.5 hours, viewers were frequently subject to this post-battle dialogue of a particular Burglar who ended up as an NPC Roadblock for Red. Suggestions about what happened to his "partner" are quite common, such as that Red and/or Red's Pokémon are somehow responsible for the disappearance of said partner.
• ATV The Dragonslayer! ^explanation During the battle with Lance of the Elite Four, Red's Venomoth "ATV" pulled off a surprise victory against Lance's Dragonite (thanks to some Artificial Stupidity on Lance's part), despite being 30 levels weaker. Immediately it gained its new nickname, as well as comparisons to the Dovahkiin/Dragonborn.
  • Dragons are a type of terrain. ^explanation Dragonite is often depicted as being run over by All Terrain Venomoth◊.
• King Leer ^Explanation DUX, the Farfetch'd you get from a trade has been famous to use its leer (as well Cut), gaining the nickname. This has been later repeated with Totodile, who sometimes has been called King Leer II.

Twitch Plays Pokémon Crystal

• "WE NEED TO SWITCH TO TOTODILE" ^Explanation  AJDNNW has a habit of trying to switch out his current Pokémon to Totodile even before he caught any new ones.
• "Stop taking our money, Mom!" ^Explanation A quarter of the protagonist's monetary winnings get sent to their mother (who acts as a bank system) automatically after every battle.
• "Call Joey!" ^Explanation  Despite Trainer Joey and his "Top %-edge Rattata" being a major Scrappy in every other part of the Pokémon fandom many, many members of The Mob express a need to call him every couple of minutes.
  • Joey has spawned another one where fans portray him and the MC as being in an abusive relationship. With MC emotionally neglecting Joey and only talking to him when he (MC) feels like it. ^Explanation  While the above meme is true in the fact that The Mob wants to call Joey they will inexplicably get angry at him if HE CALLS THEM. Responses to his calls range from "Oh My God Joey shut up!" to "Go to hell Joey." By the end of the run, though, that fell out of favour, with the Mob positing an alternate explanation that AJ is tsundere.
  • There are some among the Mob who want to abuse the poor bastard like a creepy perverted stalker.

• "See you later Lazorgator!" ^Explanation After Totodile use Leer (a move whose animation in these games◊ resembled a pair of laser beams) nine times in one battle, it was dubbed by this name. Fanart has sprung up depicting it with actual lasers shooting out of its eyes, and in one case wearing Cyclops' visor.
• "Save Private Brian!!!" ^Explanation  "Private Brian" the Pidgey was accidentally given to the Daycare man. Attempts to "save" him resulted in Prince Omelette being given to the man. Attempts to get both out resulted in Prince Omelette being swapped for the male Hoothoot... with Brian still in the hands of the Daycare man. Tends to pop up any time he is removed from the party.
  • "Save Hoot" and "Time to catch a new Hoothoot!" resulted from the above.
  • "Save us, Private Brian!" ^Explanation  As Brian is one of the team's more powerful members, this tends to get thrown around when he's involved in a critical battle.
• "Down for Eevee!" ^Explanation  Directly after the above many members of The Mob attempted to get the rest of them to get organized while in Anarchy in an attempt to get an Eevee. It doesn't even matter if the direction made any sense people continued to post it over. and over, and over, again.
• "Oh Helix, not Bill!"

• Release the Gatr! / Tick-tock, kill the croc! / PC demands blood! ^Explanation Some in the Mob want to release Feraligatr, claiming the game is too easy because he's so powerful and because it will make the story better if he's killed.
• Nurple ♥ ^Explanation Fed up with the ever-escalating trolling and caustic bickering about what "killed" the run, some chatters decided to counter-spam with "nurple" (purple) heart icons and hyper-positivity.
• No gods. No kings. Only 'mon.^Explanation The slogan of the Crystal run in reaction against the lore of the previous Red run. It also became an in-story mantra as AJ's teams goal to kill all the legendaries, prehistoric 'mon, and Red's Helix team.

• Where's Koga? ^Explanation  The Mob had a notoriously difficult time trying to talk to Koga when trying to beat the Elite Four, leading to jokes that his ninja skills made him completely invisible.
• WE HAVE TO CALL JOEY TO ACTIVATE DEMOCRACY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥^Explanation Democracy Mode was disabled for the last week of the run, with the Streamer hinting that there is a secret way to reactivate it. Calling Joey again was a commonly yelled way by the Mob.
• AllyGators / GaterHaters ^Explanation  Terms sometimes used for those who wanted to release LazerGator, and those who wanted to prevent it.

Twitch Plays Pokémon Emerald

• Vote Magma/Vote Aqua. ^Explanation  Since Emerald has two villainous teams, members made propaganda posters urging viewers to choose a side.
  • LAND means LEDGES. Vote AQUA.
  • WATER means WINGULL. Vote MAGMA.
• Vote Treecko. ^Explanation  Many viewers want Treecko, the Grass-type starter, and made images about it—some saying he was a member of the Green party to continue with the politicals p theme.
• Brenda. ^Explanation  Before the Mob started the stream, many members wanted the female PC, May. But since they knew it'd be hard to select her as playable, Brendan as a female Brenda made some rounds. Ultimately they ended up choosing May anyway.
• ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ﾉ (BRENDAN/MAY/TREECKO/MUDKIP/TORCHIC) OR RIOT ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ﾉ ^Explanation  As in Crystal, there was much warring about which gender and what Starter Pokémon we would use.
• Camila A. Slash THE _______ ^Explanation The Mob seems rather fond of giving A an excessively dramatic title in the chat; replace "______" with any noun, preferrably in allcaps.
• Virgin Marill ^Explanation Marill was one of the lowest leveled 'mons on A's team, yet regardless became the Mob's chosen one once they saw leveling her up would let it learn Water Gun, giving them a type-effective move against Roxanne's Gym.
  • M4 Moe ^Explanation After Marril evolved into Azumarril, the previous pun wasn't that fitting anymore. Then, when they renamed Azumarril to "M ——/'/'4", people saw that the name looked like an M4 and that if you translate it into Morse, it says "Moee".
• Zexinja ^Explanation After the release of Zexy the Torchic, the Mob began to suggest that Zexy is not dead; and his soul was inside Shedinja.
• GOOD BIKE ^Explanation Some time after arriving in Dewford, the Mob found out that these two words were Dewford's preset "trendy phrase". It caught on with the chat too.
  • GOOD ABRA, APOLOGIZE ABRA ^Explanation The Mob wound up changing "BIKE" to "ABRA" and later "GOOD" to "APOLOGIZE" while still in Dewford. Some people wanted to withdraw Abra because of it, but he remained in the box for several days before finally getting withdrawn.
• IT'S A PUMBLOOM ^Explanation "Pumbloom" refers to every single Whismur in the game that is encountered. A borrowed meme from Game Grumps, where at one point during their own Emerald playthrough JonTron infamously called a Whismur "Pumbloom" due to not knowing what it was. Expect at least one member of the Mob to make a Pumbloom reference every single time a Whismur so much as appears onscreen.
• Tittycada ^Explanation The Mob decided to catch a Nincada, and in the Name Rater, the name given to it was . TT. People began making fun of that.
• Dogeyena ^Explanation A has caught a ton of Poochyena, and the Mob is enamored with the "Doge" meme. Therefore her Poochyena are always referred to as Doge, and the word becomes intermixed with anything.
  • Coward Doge ^Explanation 2 of A's Poochyenas (the ones in A's current team) have the ability Run Away, hence why in Trainer or Gym Battles, the Mob commands them to flee.
• Trumpets ^Explanation Some of the Mob post some variation of this message or this emoticon ༼ つ ◕‿‿◕ ༽つ -=iii=<() ♫♪♫ when the music has trumpets. Most of Hoenn has Trumpets, so it's spammed around at random moments of life.
  • The announcement of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire was celebrated with these instruments.
• Praise the Nanab Berry ^Explanation An "useless" item praising (like the Helix Fossil one), every time A checks Berries, expect the Mob to say praise the Nanab Berry, consult the Nanab Berry, as well as other things we need to do with Nanab Berry.
• ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つTO THE PC༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ ^Explanation Warns the Mob to send A to the PC. Can either be used for trolling or for good, who knows.
• A has a weed addiction ^Explanation A has caught 29 Oddish and counting over the course of the game.
• LAL ^Explanation A somewhat popular command used in Democracy Mode. It is essentially "LOL" in input-able command form.
  • ARR ^Explanation A somewhat popular command used in Democracy Mode. It looks like what a pirate would say.
• Follow z33k33! ^Explanation A prominent Mob member who acts as a conductor during Democracy, using the "DBstyle◊" emote to draw attention to his commands. He became popular enough to even spawn a false account who pretends to be him, z33k333, and even a whole family made of fake accounts (z33k33_mother, z33k33_father and several others) during the Anniversary Red run.
• PLAY THE SONG OF TIME! ^Explanation  Occasionally said when the timer was running out of time. Gained extra meaning when time ran out and the Streamer granted the Mob another three days to try again.
• Take the Skitty! ^Explanation  The Mob took quite a liking to Vinny the Skitty in the Lilycove Pokémon Center.

• Posting It Was His Sled spoilers. ^Explanation  Season 4 of Game of Thrones just began and so trolls have been posting spoilers for the series in the chat. Others responded by posting twists of other works, sometimes very well known twists.

Twitch Plays Pokémon Randomized Fire Red

Many memes from Red also apply here, due to the game being a remake of Red.

• Tick-tock, kill Machop! ^Explanation  The return of the slogan originally used to call for releasing Lazor Gator, now applied to their narcoleptic starter, a Machop with Truant.
• ༼ つ ◕‿◕ ༽つJUICE RAVE༼ つ ◕‿◕ ༽つ ^Explanation  Regarding the juices sold at the Poke Mart.
• MEOWIST PARTY ^Explanation After A caught a Skitty nicknamed ZDNNNG, the Mob decided to call it Chairman Meow Zedong and labeled him as a leader of commewnist party.
• ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ﾉ GET KIRLIA ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ﾉ ^Explanation The Mob caught a Kirlia, and for a while, several people have wanted to withdraw him whenever the opportunity arose. This has subsided, though very so often, there are cries of "Get Kirlia" in the chat.
  • ヽ༼>3<༽ﾉ Kirlia x Potato ヽ༼>3<༽ﾉ ^Explanation  The Mob has a strange tendency to make meme pairings.
• "I blame Bex"" ^Explanation  Whenever things go wrong, some members of the Mob blame BEXXXXXXX, or one of her many expies.
• "CURRENT PLAN: Retrieve level 51 Dewgong from the PC" ^Explanation  Various members of the Mob claimed that there was a Dewgong in the PC in order to encourage people to use it. There wasn't, although there was a Seel, but it was caught long after people wanted Dewgong. Curiously, this Dewgong had managed to level up from 21 to 51 despite never leaving the PC. This meme stuck around long after FireRed and became symbolic of trolls who try to trick the Mob into using the PC.

• 80085/8008135 ^Explanation  These numbers are frequently entered into the Pokétch calculator app, for fairly obvious reasons.
• TRUMPETS IN 3D -=iii=<() ♪ ♫ ^Explanation Hoenn was confirmed during this run. Based on Gen III's memetic use of trumpets in the music.
• I... I just wanted to deposit Bidoof. She was so good to us... always so loyal. When she couldn't evolve for us, she went to the Daycare happily, and then came back happily, wearing that stupid grin on her face all the while. When we asked her to go to the PC, she never once complained. She was just there for us, loyally, the way she always had been....And then we killed her. • X canceled the evolution!! ^Explanation Something spammed when someone in the chat presses B while a Pokémon from Twitch Plays Pokémon Platinum's team evolves. Pressing "B" cancels the current evolution. These are also known as the B Trolls.
• MILF ^Explanation Bans somehow were deactivated in the chat, leading to immediate and constant abuse of the lack of chat regulations.

• THE TRASHY STROLLING IS AN EYESORE! ^Explanation  Whenever Aoooo loses to 4, the trashy man speech is spammed in chat. Some spam the whole speech, while others only spam the last sentence.

• Hilda's booty. ^Explanation Hilda's supporters wanted her so they could admire her... physique when she throws pokeballs. When GMYC entered the Battle Subway with her, the Mob went wild.
• ┬──┬ ^Explanation For some reason, tables began appearing in chat during this run.
• REMEMBER X Kappa ^Explanation Someone repeatedly posted a link to a video of the victory against Lance & Blue in TPP Red with the comment "REMEMBER for old times sake BibleThump Just look at the amazingness that was TPP Red" and people started flooding the chat with factious "REMEMBER X" comments; X ranging from actual rememberable moments, to mundane things that just happened, to things that never happened, to completely unrelated events.
• └༼ຈل͜ຈ༽┐♫ DRAGON DANCE RIOT ♫ └༼ຈل͜ຈ༽┐ ♫ ^Explanation Alternate version of the DANCE RIOT meme used for the Opelucid City theme, which is different in each version. The White version is softer, quieter, and played on traditional instruments, while the Black version sounds more modern and is played using techno instruments.

• ♫ ┌༼ຈل͜ຈ༽┘ ♪ D-O-N-G-E-R-S DONGERS ♪ └༼ຈل͜ຈ༽┐ ♫ ^Explanation The music in Roxie's gym consists of her band playing a repetitive song consisting solely of the lyrics "P-O-K-E-M-O-N Pokémon!" The original Japanese version of this song is similar, with "D-O-G-A-R-S Dogars" instead, which is the Japanese name for Koffing, Roxie's signature Pokémon. This is often combined with the "DANCE RIOT" meme in various ways.
• ~༼ຈل͜ຈ༽~ WIND RIOT ~༼ຈل͜ຈ༽~ ^Explanation It took an especially long time to defeat Skyla because of her gym's gimmick, which involved periodic gusts of wind that could potentially blow the player back to the start of the gym. The Mob was unable to even challenge Skyla at all until the streamer increased the time in between gusts of wind.

(It's really an actual 3DS with some wires soldered to its circuit boards, hooked up to a device that sends inputs, along with a capture card.)
• Fum ^Explanation A nonsense word broadcast in a "shout-out" by d on the PSS; has since been used by the Mob occasionally in memes.
• ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ﾉ WIFI OR RIOT ヽ༼ຈل͜ຈ༽ﾉ ^Explanation  Due to TPPX being played on a real 3DS, instead of an emulator, Wi-Fi can be enabled, allowing for trades and O-Powers, or disabled.
• "How did we get an Omanyte with a proper nickname?" ^Explanation Early on in the game, trading was enabled, and d received a male Omanyte named Lord Helix and a female named Lady Helix. People were calling hax on these clearly legible nicknames.
  • "You guys got rid of Quilladin?" ^Explanation For once, the PC was used without claiming any blood, depositing both Quilladin and Lady Helix and then receiving the Fancy Vivillon from the GTS Event. This immediately resulted in people claiming that Quilladin was dead and blaming Vivillon for it.
• Serena/Shauna wants the Li'l d (and other "d" jokes) ^Explanation  Recently spammed everytime Serena or Shauna says "Li'l d", and has turned into a meme when the fireworks cutscene happened.

• Satanbat. ^Explanation  The Mob caught a Zubat and managed to name it "66666R". Naturally, devil jokes ensued, until "Satanbat" started to turn into another Helix (or rather, Dome) situation.

Then it showed that Chuggaaconroy was apparently also in it, which further exploded the chat. Cue other chat members claiming people who were unlikely to be in the chat were in it, with the likes of Obama, Clinton, and Lord Helix being in the chat. Note though; there's still no confirmation on whether that was really them or not.
• ヽ༼'ຈل͜ຈ'༽ﾉ PC DEMANDS A BLOOD SACRIFICE! ヽ༼'ຈل͜ຈ'༽ﾉ ^Explanation With Satanbat gone and the PC proving more dangerous than ever this run, this has become the next most common way of referring to it when the Mob encounters one.
• The Trick Master ^Explanation With certain people expressing concerns the run would be too short, a good portion of the Mob decided to take on the Trick Master's side quests. Following reactions have ranged from rage from those who wanted to progress, Sanity Slippage from the complicated layout making it hard to navigate in anarchy mode, as well as the fact that the Trick House music got old VERY quickly with the Mob, and the Trick Master being propelled to a Memetic Molester status.

• Speed runs ^Explanation One of the biggest concerns of this run, and the major one resulting in this becoming the most diverse run yet, is that after X, people have been concerned that the run would end far to quickly. This has resulted in people trying to artificially extend the run by any means necessary, be it trying to release OP mons, keeping EXP Share off, or going to out of the way places for doing side quest like the Trick Master's house.
• The Cable Car ^Explanation One of the most common ways trolls slowed down the run, by repeatedly riding the cable car up and down, much to the chargen of those who want to progress.
  • WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! ^Explanation What's spammed in the chat whenever riding the cable car.
• "MallHell" ^Explanation The Mob didn't like Mauville's redesign in to a "mall", especially because it made it hard to navigate with the chat inputs.
• TV purgatory / Granny Purgatory / Granny's house = purgatory ^Explanation While grinding for Norman's gym, the Mob went to one of the granny houses, considering healing at it "safer" than the Pokémon Center because of no PC. Sounded like a good idea at the time, but once they got there, they ended up getting trapped by clicking the TV over and over again by accident, and then the same happened with "granny", and thus the Mob ended up getting trapped between the two for a solid hour. This has led to jokes that Satanbat trapped them in purgatory as revenge for releasing him, or that granny's house is purgatory itself.

• ((((((( :BabyRage / SwiftRage: ))))))) ^Explanation With the SwiftRage and BabyRage chat emotes looking like they're shouting (facing right and left, respectively), they tend to be spammed whenever V uses Boomburst, with parenthesis representing the sonic waves.
