The Muppets (2011)
- Just the song "Man or Muppet" as a whole.Explanation Part of this is because of how much Narm Charm it creates with the nonsensical lyrics. Another part is that people think it's such a great song that it deserved winning Best Original Song at the Oscars.
- Walter running.Explanation One scene from The Muppets (2011) has Walter running and screaming frantically upon learning that Muppet Studios will be sold and torn down. It's usually memed to depict someone screaming with either excitement or dread, or just being full of energy.
- "KIDNAPPING JACK BLACK, FOZZIE!"Explanation When Fozzie asks if the kidnapping of Jack Black or "destroying the Muppets" is the more illegal crime, Kermit swiftly says it's the kidnapping. This soundbite's been used as a template on TikTok for comparing major dilemmas.
- Kermit's arrival.Explaination This is from the first scene to majorly feature Kermit. He appears to meet Gary, Walter, and Mary with a light shining on his silhouette. This template is often used to signify a last minute solution.
Other
- Statler and WaldorfExplanation The two old hecklers have been a constant source of the franchise's comedy through their insults, be they aimed at the show, pop culture, or even life itself.
- Mahna MahnaExplanation A nonsensical novelty song made famous by the Muppets.
- "YOU ARE ALL WEIRDOS!!"Explanation In The Great Muppet Caper, Sam the Eagle says this immediately after "Happiness Hotel" song.
- "[screams internally]"Explanation A still of Kermit from The Muppet Christmas Carol, right after he finishes singing "One More Sleep 'Til Christmas", with this caption underneath him.
- Thanks to Muppets Tonight, if you have difficulty with a task, you can say that "THIS JOB'S TOO HARD!!"
- "Nice job, Kermit!" "Thank you!"Explanation From the Muppets Tonight episode featuring Whoopi Goldberg, Clifford has this conversation with multiple Kermits after they do a cover of "Once In a Lifetime". Mutated by a friend of Vinesauce, who made videos further multiplying the number of Kermits saying "Thank you!"
- Kermit did 9/11Explanation This occurs in It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie. When Kermit is in Miss Piggy's apartment in the alternate universe where he was never born, the Twin Towers are visible through the window, in a scene taking place in 2003. This has therefore led to the popular and entirely logical conclusion online that since the Twin Towers are still intact in a world where Kermit never existed, this means that in our universe Kermit somehow caused 9/11.
- "But that's none of my business."Explanation A 2014 Lipton commercial features Kermit sipping a cup of tea, which is used to represent users' apathy to other people's problems.
- Evil KermitExplanation A scene from Muppets Most Wanted has Kermit encountering Constantine, who is dressed in a black cloak with his eyes covered. This still is often memed to depict Kermit as the user, and Constantine as an evil/dark version of the user encouraging them to do something against their better judgement.
- Among the Vinesauce community, Kermit being the father of streamer Joel due to his real father having a similar voice has become memetic.
- "x story but the Muppets" is a common game on social media, usually with classic literature but sometimes modern fiction. The format is to suggest a piece of fiction and cast it as Muppets, either by selecting one character to "be the human" (a la Jim Hawkins in Muppet Treasure Island or Ebenezer Scrooge in The Muppet Christmas Carol), by casting a Muppet for each character, or both.
