Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars

  • In Best of My Love Nie Mingjue cries happy tears at Lan Xichen and Meng Yao's wedding. He can't get through a planned speech!

Hetalia: Axis Powers

  • Gankona, Unnachgiebig, Unità: The usually serious and no-nonsense Germany sheds these after Italy proposed to both him and Japan.
  • In Human Curiosity, Prussia cries in The Bonus Chapters, when he gets his memories back and reunites with Germany. One chapter also has England cry when he learned that Portugal was "dead", which led to him waking up from the dream-memory while still crying.

The Hunger Games

  • Obsidian Citrine in the Hunger Games fanfiction Some Semblance of Meaning. When he tears up during his interview, Caesar Flickerman cites this trope by name, and it certainly isn't the last time that Obsidian is brought to tears, either. (Yet he's still undeniably manly.)

Mass Effect

Merlin (2008)

  • A Game Well Played: Arthur cries (but only two, silent, desperate tears, one at a time; thus, manly) because he can't save Merlin from Cold-Blooded Torture without betraying Camelot. And he won't betray Camelot.

The Mummy Trilogy

My Hero Academia

  • Endeavor in Such a Doting Father has a tendency to cry what the narrative calls "Manly Tears" whenever expressing love and/or pride for his family.

My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

  • Alicornundrum: Sundiver, one of Twilight and Nyx's personal Royal Guards, absolutely bawls during Twilight and Ink Spot's wedding, much to the disgust of his partner Lightning Blitz.
  • The Pieces Lie Where They Fell: In the sequel Picking Up the Pieces, Night breaks down and lets loose with these when his parents finally show him affection for the first time in years.

Neon Genesis Evangelion

  • HERZ: In chapter 12 Shinji sheds a single tear after Rei has said goodbye to him.
  • Evangelion 303: Shinji sheds them often in the doujin: after finding out that Asuka survived the Unit-04's crash, while retorting Gendo's lecture, during his marriage proposal to Asuka... And nobody ever suggests that he is somehow less masculine for it.

Odd Squad

  • In This Bites!, both Wiper and Cricket shed a few when promising to meet up in Skypiea.

  • Black Wings, Black Sails: When Temeraire rescues Laurence from arrest and flies him and his boarding crew back to their pirate fleet, Laurence weeps without realizing it, overcome with being with the dragon he thought he would never see again.
