Manga Classics provides examples:
- Adaptational Attractiveness: A large portion of the characters are made to be more attractive than they were in canon. For example, Huckleberry Finn is now a Long-Haired Pretty Boy.
- Animesque: The works are done in a "manga" style but aren't Japanese-made.
- Messy Hair: Huckleberry Finn has long, messy hair to accentuate his roguish boyishness, despite his Adaptational Attractiveness.
- Retraux: A few books, including Emma, are done in a more "1970s shoujo" style than the others.
