Chimamire Sukeban Chainsaw (Bloody Chainsaw Girl or 血まみれスケバンチェーンソー) is an action-horror manga written and illustrated by Rei Mikamoto. The manga was serialized in Comic Beam from October 10th, 2009 to March 11th, 2017 and ran for a total of 89 chapters.

Geeko Nokomura is an incredibly violent, dirt-poor school delinquent who lives alone in a scrapyard shack. Her life changes for the worse when the intelligent yet crazy egomaniac Nero Aoi, one of her classmates who was constantly bullied for inhumane experiments on animals, came across the Mein Kampf.

Inspired by the manifesto, Nero kidnaps and enslaves all of her mutual classmates, reanimates their corpses and modify them beyond recognition, twisting their bodies and minds into her grotesque, monstrous underlings. She then sics her army on the only survivor Geeko who had other ideas in store. Armed with her trusty chainsaw, there's no stopping Geeko's murderous, rage-fueled onslaught to end Nero's mad science no matter how many undead former friends she has to slay on the way.

A live-action film adaptation was released in 2016 followed by its 2019 sequel that was initially two separate movies but had been edited together into one singular feature. Both movies have mixed-to-poor reviews.

The manga contains the following tropes

  • Action Prologue: The manga opens up with Geeko facing an army of her former remodeled classmates before brutally massacring them all with her chainsaw as a busload of kindergarteners watches in awe.
  • Anyone Can Die: No one is spared, whether remodeled corpses or secondary cast, from the constant onslaught given the violent nature of the manga. Even the main characters aren't even exempted from this with a prime example being Geeko dying in the final chapters of the original manga (Though she does get better at the end).
  • Asshole Victim:
    • The two Gonk bargoers in chapter 4 attempt to rape Geeko but predictably, one gets his arms chopped off by her chainsaw while Chiko beheads the other and also finished off the armless guy. Meanwhile, the bar owner, who refused to help Geeko since she's tired of entertaining the two, had her pub and entire livelihood burned down to the ground in the fight with Chiko.
    • In chapter 9, a man faced the wrath of a young Geeko which left the authorities finding his limbs and genitals shredded everywhere and having a horrified and pained expression on his decapitated head. However, further investigations discovered the man was to be a serial pedophile who had his hands on over twenty young girls in the neighborhood and as such received absolutely no sympathy with everyone happy he died a horrible death.
  • Inconsistent Coloring: The only thing consistent about the covers and coloured pages is how it keeps changing the hair and eyes colors of the characters on it.
  • Infodump: Geeko summarises the premise to a curious kindergarten teacher (and the audience) about why she's hunting down her undead classmatesExplanation  Everything she says, however, is later depicted in greater detail in the next chapter.
  • Retraux: Chimamire Sukeban Chainsaw is drawn like a classic 80s horror manga when it was published in 2008.
