When she realizes that her son is gone, she begins bawling her heart out. She and Danny both slide down to the floor and he, feeling guilty on top of his grief, cries almost as hard as Rikki does.

** The Vivienne Graham half of [[Characters/AbraxasHrodvitnonMonsterX Monster X]]. Honestly, after the last thing she clearly remembers is running and screaming for her life amidst Ghidorah's awakening before she's suddenly woken up somewhere else transformed into a malformed, pain-wracked monster; is it any surprise in the ''slightest'' that tears are lining down from her eyes for hours? And this certainly isn't the ''last'' time Vivienne ends up crying in such a way during the fic.

Madison's tears continue rolling when she [[YouMonster calls her mother a monster]] after Ghidorah[[spoiler:, one of the Titans Emma earlier awakened as part of her plan]], has overturned her plan entirely, and also when Madison subsequently calls her mother out on how Emma's late son Andrew would be horrified by what she's done. [[spoiler:It's subtly implied that Madison's tears are ''not'' helped by the knowledge that she was complicit for a while in the mass death and destruction her mother has unleashed due to Madison's blind obedience to the woman before her HeelRealization]].

Series/HellOnWheels: Cullen Bohannen has always been a stoic character. Having avoided invoking the trope for the death of [[spoiler: Lily]], it's only when [[spoiler: Elam returns to Hell on Wheels having mentally regressed back to his days on the plantation and Cullen has to stab him to death, and bury his body]] that he finally lets out a tortured, broken cry from all he has lost on the railroad.
