- Constantly Lactating Cow: Cows and livestock can always be milked.
- Cool, Clear Water: All clear water is perfectly clean enough to drink.
- Discreet Drink Disposal: A character secretly dumps out a drink they don't want to consume.
- The Dreaded Pretend Tea-Party: A child ropes someone into playing tea party.
- Drink-Based Characterization: Character has a favourite drink, which is an indicator of their personality.
- Drunk on Milk: Character gets drunk off a non-alcoholic beverage.
- Frothy Mugs of Water: Alcohol is dubbed into non-alcoholic beverages, but still behaves like alcohol.
- Gargle Blaster: A drink that is infamous for its unusual effects.
- Gigantic Gulp: Drinking from a very big cup.
- Hot Drink Cure: A sick, hoarse, injured, or hypothermic character is given a hot drink.
- Hot Sauce Drinking: A character drinks hot sauce, either accidentally or intentionally.
- I Do Not Drink Wine: Alien won't eat or drink our food and drink.
- I Drank WHAT?!: Accidentally eating/drinking non-food/drink.
- Klatchian Coffee: Coffee that makes your brain go into warp-speed.
- Lactating Male: A male who can produce milk.
- Lactose over Liquor: Ordering milk in a place that usually serves alcohol.
- Lemonade Stand Plot: One or more characters start their own lemonade stand.
- Libation for the Dead: Pouring a drink on the ground for spirits or gods.
- Magic Potion: A drink with magical properties.
- Mid-Battle Tea Break: Briefly interrupting a battle scene to do something ridiculous, often a tea party.
- Must Have Caffeine: Character is "addicted" to caffeine.
- The Noisy Straw: Producing noise when slurping through a straw even if the glass is not empty.

- Poisoned Drink Drop: A poisoning is signified by a beverage being dropped.
- Reading Tea Leaves: Divination via tea, coffee or wine in a cup.
- Real Men Take It Black: Preferring black coffee is associated with toughness.
- Science Cocktail: Creating a drink with a chemistry set.
- Screwball Serum: Someone ingests a mysterious concoction and it either shapeshifts them or changes their personality.
- Slipping a Mickey: Putting a knockout drug into a drink.
- Soda Can Shakeup: A shaken soda can will open with explosive, fizzy results.
- Spit Take: Spitting out food or drink, often due to surprise.
- Spraying Drink from Nose: When a drink shoots out of someone's nose due to surprise, laughter, or whatever.
- Stepping Out for a Quick Cup of Coffee: A chief steps out for a break, often to get coffee, providing the hero with enough time to steal files or read up on something.
- Sweetheart Sipping: Two love interests share a drink.
- Tampering with Food and Drink: Putting deadly poison in food or drink.
- Tea Is Classy: Tea is used to indicate that a character is of high class.
- That Poor Plant: A plant dies after being fed disgusting food or drink.
- Toilet-Drinking Dog Gag: A joke about dogs drinking from toilets.
- Umbrella Drink: A drink decorated with a little umbrella.
- Uncoffee: A parody of coffee.
- Unconventional Smoothie: A smoothie with unusual ingredients.
- Unsuspectingly Soused: Someone eats or drinks something unaware there is alcohol in what they're devouring and become intoxicated as a result. Hilarity or something dark may ensue.
- Warm Milk Helps You Sleep: Trouble sleeping? Some warm milk will get the job done.
- You, Get Me Coffee: A newbie or rookie is assigned a trivial task, such as getting the boss a cup of coffee.
- You're Drinking Breast Milk: A character mistakes human breast milk for cows' milk.
