* UnusuallyUninterestingSight: In "Tangled Web", Wrestling/{{Sting}}, playing himself [[NotMakingThisUpDisclaimer (and yes, that really is Sting)]], shows up and tries to kick Josh's ass for pranking him and ''no one'' notices the dark brooding wrestler based off of [[Film/TheCrow Eric Draven]] running down the hallway. While chasing Josh, a mummy shows up also trying to attack Josh. Sting doesn't even bat an eye at the mummy's presence and even stands side by side with it in chasing Josh.

** At first, it seems like "Scareful What You Wish For" is going to end with Dylan managing to have ''finally'' convinced Buddy that he had outgrown him, and that the doll needs to finally let him go. [[spoiler:And then we learn that when Dylan got him for his sixth birthday, [[UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom the magician hired for the party]] had cast a (as it turns out ''real'') spell, [[OhCrap making it so that Buddy would forever by Dylan's friend]]. And as it happens, [[SuddenDownerEnding Buddy]] ''[[SuddenDownerEnding can't]]'' [[SuddenDownerEnding let go]].]]

* CompressedAdaptation: The entire Thrillogy was compressed into just one TV episode. It mostly loosely takes after ''Fear Games'' but as mentioned above, takes a few elements from the time other two books as well.

* HopeSpot: In "Four Eyes," just when Jeremy escapes from pursuing alien invaders, [[spoiler: he's picked up by his best friend, who turns out to be the alien leader.]]

* MadeOfEvil: The protagonist in ''My Name is Evil'

* EurekaMoment: In "My Name is Evil", Morgan has been all but ostracized by the rest of the school, believing him to be evil. It's then that [[AlphaBitch Kristen]] comes up to him, offering to make all of this go away in return for him doing whatever she asks of him. [[spoiler:While discussing this, she puts on some of her perfume, which makes the rash on Morgan's arm flare up. It's then that he realizes that not only is the rash, which he had been led to believe was a mark of evil, just an allergic reaction to the perfume, but that ''Kristen was there'' every single time something had gone wrong. He was never the cause of any of the mishaps at all; ''she'' was.]]

''The Nightmare Room'' is a series of YA horror books written by Creator/RLStine in the early 2000s. Much like ''Literature/{{Goosebumps}}'', it is a horror GenreAnthology series featuring a different short story filled with young kids facing off against ghosts, monsters, and other supernatural beings. Unlike ''Goosebumps'', the stories are ''much'' darker and the kid heroes [[DownerEnding don't always win]] in the end.

* ScrewDestiny: This happens ''Shadow Girl'' when [[spoiler: Selena has to "kill" Jade aka Red Raven so that she can be the superhero she wants to be, and Selena can stop being Shadow Girl.]]
