The Barbarotti-Series (2006-2012) is a series of crime novels by Håkan Nesser, revolving around the Swedish Inspector Gunnar Barbarotti.
Books of the Series:
- Människa utan hund
- En Helt Annan Historia
- Berättelse om herr Roos
- De Ensamma
- Styckerskan Fran Lilla Burma
Tropes that apply to the series as a whole:
- Idiosyncratic Cover Art: All covers show the view out of a window; except the one for Berättelse om herr Roos, which shows a window too, but you see it from the outside.
- Multi-Ethnic Name: Inspector Gunnar Barbarotti: His Italian father wanted to give him an Italian name, his Swedish mother a Swedish one. In the end they decided to give him a Swedish first name and to give him his father's last name, as a compromise.
