When Rainbow Dash's favorite sport, Blitzball, finally starts a league at Canterlot High, she finds out that the new head coach won't allow any girls on the team. In order to get around this, Rainbow and her friends challenge the boys to a Blitzball game, and if her team wins, girls can join the team. Will Rainbow Dash blitz her way to victory?

- Colon Cancer: Its full official title is: My Little Pony: Equestria Girls: Canterlot High Stories: Rainbow Dash Brings the Blitz.
- Fictional Sport: Blitzball. Considering how some of its tactics are described, it sounds like a combination of Soccer and Basketball, and it can apparently be practiced on a Soccer field.
- Impractically Fancy Outfit: Rarity's custom Blitzball outfit is noted to be this by Rainbow Dash - it has a glittery tutu, even though it's for a sports game.
- Took a Level in Badass: After they decide to start training seriously, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie become very good at the game.
- Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Rainbow Dash doesn't reject the idea of Forest Thunder having a crush on her (she's just more preoccupied with the Big Game) and even considers him "nice and cute", and she thinks that Rarity's Blitzball outfit looked cute, even if it was impractical for the game.
- You Go, Girl!: Zig-zagged. While Rainbow is shown to be more than capable of playing Blitzball, some of her friends... aren't, leading to the message that "girls can be good at sports, but they don't have to be".
