Playing with Matches is a 2012 novel by debut author Suri Rosen. It is about sixteen-year-old Raina Resnick, after she is thrown out of her private Manhattan school. She is forced to move to Toronto and live with her aunt, as her sister, Leah blames her for the breakup of her engagement. Her life seems miserable until she meets a woman, Toby, on a bus, and subsequently sets her up. Soon Raina finds herself a premier matchmaker, but it causes her family to distance themselves from her.
