Dreamfall Seven Fairy Tales is a post apocalyptic/fantasy Web Serial Novel written by BRG in 2020. The story deals with a group of teenagers who are changelings and their journey in a world left broken by fairies after leaving their human families behind to protect them from harm by said fairies. It's avaliable in Wattpad and Inkitt


Dreamfall: Seven Fairy Tales contains examples of:

  • After the End: The story takes place two decades after a disaster.
  • Apocalyptic Log: The book starts with letters, emails and reports of strange events leading up to the apocalypse.
  • Bigger on the Inside: The mall visited in the first chapter is described as so tall, the ceiling can't be seen, and Match speculates it goes equally deep into the ground.
  • Cold Iron: The protagonist not only use iron weapons, but actually turn objects into said weapons.
  • Disaster Scavengers: We're first shown our protagonists as they walk to a mall in search of food and resources. Things don't turn out as planned.
  • Eldritch Location: The Elfhomes. The first one introduced is a mall with neverending stairs, shops that shine and advertisement that force you to look at them.
  • The Fair Folk: They are behind the apocalypse that lead to the main setting and now populate the rests of human cities in enchanted places called Elfhomes.
  • Fairy Tale Motifs: Every main character is heavily asociated with a fairy tale and refer to each other with the names of said tale's protagonist. They are:
    • The Little Match Girl
    • Jack
    • Hansel
    • Rapunzel/Gretel
    • Little Red Riding Hood
    • Morgiana
    • The Boy Who Cried Wolf
  • Just Before the End: The fragments at the start of the first chapter follow the months before the cataclysm up to the last few seconds.
  • Kid Hero: The protagonists are teenagers.
  • Lost Common Knowledge: Match doesn't know what a mall is, and Red thought lipstick was candy.
  • Mayan Doomsday: The apocalypse starts exactly at the beginning of 2012.
  • Shrinking Violet: Cry
  • Team Mom: Hansel seems perpetually worried for the rest of the team, often asking them if they are fine.
  • Urban Ruins: The catastrophe happened in 2012, so this trope is a given. The first ruins to appear are of a modern city.
