Dragons are also Big Eaters.

Dragons Love Tacos is a 2012 children's book written by Adam Rubins and illustrated by Daniel Salmieri.

The book is centered around the premise that Dragons love tacos, albeit without spicy salsa, as it gives them "tummy troubles" (i.e. they spew fire from their mouths).

It was followed by a sequel, Dragons Love Tacos 2: The Sequel, in 2017.

Dragons Love Tacos has Examples of the following Tropes:

  • Big Eater: The dragon on the cover has at least eight whole tacos in his mouth, dozens in a pile of his belly, and many more strewn around him, with the implication that he intends to eat them all.
  • Breath Weapon: Dragons can breathe fire.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: Dragons Love Tacos is about dragons who... love tacos.
  • Fire-Breathing Diner: Giving dragons spicy salsa is a bad idea.
  • Food Porn: There's a page showing a table with bowl after bowl of taco fillings, from beef and chicken to lettuce, tomato, olives, shredded cheese, etc.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: They don't seem to be interested in hording gold or princesses, just consuming tacos. And they'll help you rebuild your house if they accidentally get ahold of spicy salsa.
  • Read the Fine Print: The jar of "mild" salsa wasn't so mild, as the fine print indicated in now came with spicy peppers.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Within the world of the book, tacos are the trademark favorite food of dragons.
