Nations caught in "the Event"
- Aucuria: A small Baltic country in Atlantica-Alba that was once a decently prestigious kingdom with control of some trade routes and a proud culture. After the loss of one of its colonies and the increasing autonomy of another, the deposition of the monarchy, and multiple revolutions and coups, its best days are definitely behind it.
- Aulesia: One of the two major superpowers caught in the Event, and the only one in Atlantica-Alba. A largely conservative, hyper-nationalist, multilingual federation, that strongly resembles France and Spain with a Catalan-esque Conlang.
- Costa Sud: A Catalan-esque absolute monarchy in Atlantica-Alba. Strongly influenced by Nevanmaa (with its royal family being a branch of the Nevan one)
- Lecistan: A mixture of Ruritania and Qurac, Lecistan is a tiny monarchical state known for being unstable and just a bit repressive. Speaks a Slavic language based primarily on Kashubian and Polish.
- Nevanmaa: A Finnish-speaking archipelago near Scandinavia. One of the few countries with a semi-democratic government at least at first, and one of the two superpowers caught in the Event. Known for being both raging racists and fanatical monarchists.
- Senria: An East Asian archipelago located off the coast of Japan; literally based off of said nation, albeit under a republican government. Corporation-dominated, it is also one of the few countries with a somewhat democratic government in its immediate radius. Longtime enemy of Xiaodong.
- Vyvland: An island nation whose language is a Germanic-style Conlang. Presently divided between the fascist South and democratic/monarchist North.
- Xiaodong: A Mandarin-speaking country run by revanchist ultra-nationalists with an abundance of jingoistic rhetoric. Hated by much of its new neighbours (including Japan and Aulesia).
This fictional tournament provides examples of:

- Lee Harvey Oswald still kills a President in 1963, before the Events it's just Nixon instead of Kennedy.
- Martin Luther King Jr. is still assassinated by a rogue Nevan agent in 1970.

- Operation Vitória: the joint Aulesian-Portuguese invasion of India, which succeeds in the Portuguese retaking Goa and the Aulesians taking Pondicherry.
- Richard Nixon, the Used Car Salesman: The timeline has numerous examples. Among the more notable:
- After Eisenhower, you have Presidents Richard Nixon in 1960 (R), Nelson Rockefeller in 1963 (R), John F. Kennedy in 1964 (D), and Barry Goldwater (R) (so far)
- Take That!: Operation Vitória was this to Operation Vijay, the Indian operation to take Portuguese India in 1960
