Alright, hello. Welcome back to the Uberhaxornova TV Tropes page. UberHaxorNova (aka: ParagonNova, real name James Wilson) is a Youtube game player who tends to get the most angry when playing with other people. On his own, he is a fun-loving WWE fan that dabbles in Minecraft from time to time. He has numerous videos of wrestling up on his account, the most of them going towards Smackdown vs Raw 2011 with full playthroughs of the Road to Wrestlemania mode and even some custom stories. He interacts with his fans on occasion and is a member of a group called The Creatures, who frequently collaborate with each other. He is known for his role in Minecraft: The Ex-Communicated Series and his Happy Wheels playthrough. He also plays many modern games by himself or with fellow Creatures and gamers, and roleplays as Siz Fulker and Barry Briddle on the NoPixel Grand Theft Auto V roleplay server (which he livestreams over on Twitch).

Also, has a second account called NovaPipebomb with an ongoing playthrough of WWE Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain and the WWE '12 story mode.

Nova was one of the main members of The Creatures until early 2016 when he left to create Cow Chop with Aleks.

Tropes Used In His Work Include:

• 10-Minute Retirement: Temporarily stopped uploading in September 2012 due to some back problems thanks to carrying equipment at many events. He resumed uploading in October, although his back problems still persist today.
• Arch-Enemy: BradPhusion in Happy Wheels. A level designer who's infamous for making near impossible levels.
  • Also in Grand Theft Auto V, he often goes out of his way to fight and attack construction workers.
• Ascended Fanboy: He voiced the Pogostick Guy character from Happy Wheels.
• Berserk Button: He hates it when people cheat.
  • He also developed one to comments being marked as spam.
• Buffy Speak: Usually happens when he's surprised or frustrated. An example being in "Nonsensical Saints Row: The Third" Episode 57 while he's shooting down an enemy aircraft.
  Nova: Go down already you shitty ass... shit shit.
• Butt-Monkey: During the Quad Mountain series, his second turtle T-Dog, becomes this. Nova goes as far as to fence him out from all the other turtles he finds later on.
• Catchphrase: MLG, whenever he does something that is awesome.
  • And when he fails at something, "I knew that was going to happen!"
  • In Happy Wheels: "Fuck the world! *throws character's dismembered leg*"
  • As well as "Wiggle your niblets!" when a character loses all or most of their limbs.
  • In his Max Payne 3 Let's Play, he will randomly say/shout "Por que!"
  • Whenever something in a game grosses him out he usually lets out a distinctive "Eeeeeeewww!"
  • "Gimmie dat" (Give me that) whenever Nova takes an item, acquires points, or for no reason at all. There's also a video series named after this phrase.
• Companion Cube: In a way the Random Bike is this for Nova in his Happy Wheels videos. He attributes actual personality to the bike when it randomly kills him or other characters on the screen, he thinks that the bike is a chaotic trickster that strikes people down at random. This trend started during the very first episode and has persisted since then. Amusingly Nova seems to like the bike as he shows more distress at it being damaged then he does the Little Boy!
  • The ficus from Minecraft "Tom and Jerry: Jerry's Adventure" which he burns down in the end claiming that no one else can have it except for him.
• The Computer Is a Cheating Bastard: The blue M&M in the kayak minigame in M&M's Beach Party.
• Determinator: Even when he knows he can't win, he still keeps going. Sometimes devoting an entire video (or even a few whole episodes) to just one level.
• A Dog Named "Dog": He has stated in his Happy Wheels series that the little boy's name is "Little Boy".
  • It's not limited to Little Boy. Wheelchair Guy is "Old Man", the Effective Shopper is "Big Lady", the baby that rides In Irresponsible Mom's basket is "Little Baby", and the little girl who rides that back-of-the-bike-attachment-thingy with Irresponsible Mom is "Little Girl".
• Even Evil Has Standards: Well he's not evil, though during his inFAMOUS 2 playthrough, in which he was aligned evil, he did show some genuine remorse when he was forced to kill Zeke at the end.
• Has a Type: When he plays a game with character customization he will usually give him/her red hair. This is seen with his many incarnations of Ginger Powder and Anal Flute from his America's Next Top Model series.
• Heroic Comedic Sociopath: Usually plays as this when he's given the option, when he's not an outright Villain Protagonist. Best seen in Saints Row: The Third and Grand Theft Auto V
• Heterosexual Life-Partners: With SSoHPKC, especially on Minecraft. Either that or full on Ho Yay.
  • Don't forget Sp00n. Sp00n has done a lot of cool/funny videos with Nova too. Sp00n was so awesome in Nova's opinion that he not only made him a cake (which he refused to eat when he hilariously jumped off the roof of the Treehouse) but dedicated an entire statue to him in Minecraft. You can feel the love.
    • Small shades of this with Kootra. Nova teases Kootra most of the time but they always pull through together in the various projects they have done, especially their Minecraft series with the Tree Houses they made together.
• He Who Fights Monsters: In an effort to avenge a salad Aleks wasted during the roadtrip to E3 2015, he and Jordan both become "Salad-Wasters" by throwing perfectly good salads at him.
• Jerkass: His general attitude when playing multiplayer on games.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Genuinely cares for the other Creatures' well-being, and has a tendency to get attached to certain characters in his games. Especially Clementine
• Kick the Dog: Does this quite literally in Grand Theft Auto V, where he kicks a dog in the head.
• Large Ham: He tends to throw his mike levels into the red, sometimes, when things aren't going his way.
  • Just his general persona is over the top even when he doesn't get angry. Underneath all of that is just a normal guy who likes to have fun as he has said himself during a few videos.
• Let's Play: Fits all the criteria.
• Like an Old Married Couple: Kootra and Nova can best be described as this. They nag each other quite a bit, which Gassy Mexican puts a Lamp Shade Hanging on.
• Long Runner: Nova's Happy Wheels playthrough ran for over a year and had 198 episodes. The series ended without warning and it's unsure whether or not it has officially ended or if it's just on hiatus. On April 1st, 2013 he uploaded a video saying the series was returning but it was just an April Fools joke.
• Macro Zone: The map in Minecraft "Tom and Jerry: Jerry's Adventure" with SSoHPKC.
• Naked People Are Funny: To Nova they are, especially in Saint's Row The Third.
• Never My Fault: When Nova and the Cow Chop crew go camping in their backyard, James throws a bag of powdered beef stew into Aron's face and later into Aleks'. This begins a giant food fight in the tent with almost everyone covered in food. When all is said and done, he angrily blames Aron for everything and throws a bag of water at him (Though Aron possibly had the most food thrown onto him and James the least).
• Not Distracted by the Sexy: His playthrough of ''Fantastic Fivesome.'' Aside from viewing their Off-Model designs as unappealing, he's very annoyed by the girls' vapidness and constant laughing.
• Number Two: To Kootra, when Kootra is gone Nova tends to take over Kootra's role as leader. To hear Nova tell it though he usually doesn't need Kootra's help and considers himself an independent entity.
• Oh, Crap!: Nova decides to play a user-made mission in InFAMOUS 2 and...
  • Nova also summoned Herobrine by accident. Cue massive destruction.
• Promoted Fanboy: Nova can be considered this; his videos of Happy Wheels have become so popular that the creator, Jim Bonacci, added a character specifically for Nova, complete with voice clips Nova made for the character.
• Running Gag: The "Gay Tony" jump in Minecraft.
  • Several in his Happy Wheels videos including: "Wiggle your niblets.", "Random bike.", and "Fuck the world!".
  • It seems that one among the comments in the Repeaters / Wool series is how many keyboards Nova has broken from smashing the desk in his rage.
  • One in the Game of Life, was "Nova's sister" appearing in game form.
  • In Saint's Row: The Third, P Diddy is mentioned whenever Nova or Sp00n see a limousine.
• There Is No Kill Like Overkill: In the first video on his second account, he picked Kurt Angle to face JBL. JBL hit Angle with 4 finishers and was about to hit a fifth, but his finisher meter ran out.
  • Also, with some of the user-created levels in Happy Wheels, sometimes he and the kid end up with about 20 harpoons inside them.
• Too Dumb to Live: In his The Binding of Isaac Let's Play, he misses a lot of things that are probably necessary for his survival. If he doesn't make problems for himself, anyway.
• Screaming at Squick: One of his catch phrases. Whenever he's grossed out by a game usually because of poor graphics or Unintentional Uncanny Valley characters.
  Nova: Eeeeeewwwwwww!
• Shout-Out: He has a puppy corgi named Ein.
• Soundtrack Dissonance: During Nonsensical Saints Row The Third episode 7, Nova and Sp00n were getting chased by the cops. What was playing? Satisfaction.
  • In the same video before Satisfaction comes on, they were listening to Holding Out For a Hero.
  • Minecraft's serene soundtrack has a tendency to play in the heat of Nova's rage in the videos in his "Yup" playlist. As seen in "MINECRAFT FINISHED 1.0.0" and "SLABS".
• Stealth Parody: His "REPEATERS / WOOL" series, where at face value, he rages at things that happen or goes ballistic about things he's told. However, in most of them he's actually making fun of the fact that people keep telling him the most obvious things no matter how much time has passed inbetween recording and uploading.
• Suspiciously Apropos Music: A GTA IV episode has Dan playing as a "crazy whore" in Jame's own words as he and Kootra are escaping in a helicopter. The helicopter plays a song which happens to be Young Hearts Run Free. Lampshaded by James himself, when he comments on how perfectly the music fits.
• Trash the Set: Usually when he finishes a Minecraft adventure map with Seamus, they will celebrate the completion by spawning stacks of TNT and blowing the map up.
• Tsundere: Nova is a full on Tsundere when it comes to the LITTLE BOY(!) in Happy Wheels. There are many times where he will go out of his way to kill the Little Boy, will insult him, or generally not care that he just died, and other times he will be devastated that the Little Boy got killed or hurt or even just so much as fell off the bike.
• Video Game Caring Potential: Despite Happy Wheels' tendency for him to display the below, he made it something of a point with the new character Irresponsible Mom to get across a level with both of her children (relatively) intact. It goes about as well as you'd expect.
• Video Game Cruelty Potential: Happy Wheels. Full stop.
  • Especially... THE LITTLE BOY!
• Video Game Cruelty Punishment: About 3-4 times in the Happy Wheels playthrough, whenever he would launch the Little Boy into a harpoon trap or another kind of trap that would've spelled death for Nova, the traps would just ignore the Little Boy and activate on Nova.
• Vitriolic Best Buds: James can have a somewhat silly and crude sense of humor against just about everyone but especially against Kootra who he makes fun of the most (insults like Kootra smells, etc.). However you can tell that the teasing is all in good spirits and that they are really friends.
  • With Sly as well where Sly and Nova constantly insult each other, screw up their work on projects, and they will sometimes go out of their way to do something mean to the other.
• Wounded Gazelle Gambit: A small one occurred in his Portal 2 co-op with Sly Fox Hound. He was going through a puzzle and at the end, it required Nova to drop a Companion Cube horizontally via wave tunnel into a small little opening. He drops it in then complains to Sly that's he's stuck
• Yank the Dog's Chain: During Happy Wheels episode 82, Nova took on an incredibly hard map and kept dying on one part for five minutes. He finally makes it past that part only to trip mines in a later part. Many fans commented that they felt Nova's pain when he died on that part.
  • Also, episodes 95-98, when he played the Ocarina of Time map. That ONE booster section immediately after Gohma screws him over so often it's unfunny.
  • According to the comments, though, it might have made it worse for Nova because the original creator of the map fixed the booster after Nova was done with the level.
• You Should Have Died Instead: In Quad Mountain Survival: Nova and two of his pet turtles: Rick and T-Dog were attacked by a lightning creeper and Rick is killed while T-Dog narrowly survives. Nova having a bad relationship with T-Dog wishes he died instead of Rick.
