Tropes:

  • I Do Not Like Green Eggs and Ham: He disliked Harry Potter for a long while because he was nicknamed Harry Potter at school for a while so he started using contacts to avoid it and disliked the HP franchise. He later saw one of the movies with a friend and found out he rather liked it.
  • I Have Many Names: Including his real name John, and most famous nickname Johne, also being called Johnny and Jack, and is often called by youtube name as well, and he implies that he might have even more nicknames. So he does at least have 5 nicknames.
  • The Knights Who Say "Squee!": Squeed in pride when another letsplayer Sully told he used his Let's Play as a guide to Super Mario Sunshine.

  • Man of a Thousand Voices: He does really good voice acting, even for the female characters if he wants to.
"I wonder how my parents react to that I sit here alone in my room talking to myself, doing my best to sound like a girl" -Johne speaking to himself during his Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Let's Play.
  • The Perfectionist: He always does 100% Let's Plays, and if an episode isn't perfect, he'll nag himself about it afterward on twitter and in the comment section.
  • Precision F-Strike: Usually avoids swearing in his videos, but lets out a big "What the fuck" in episode two of TheLostBoys' Super Mario Maker Expert Mode. Also tends to use WTF a lot on twitter.
  • The Reveal: Many of his fans wanted him to show his face in a video, he finally did, but in one of Munching Orange's videos. He seems rather shy, or at least Camera Shy.
