Tropes in Gackt's Let's Plays:
- Butt-Monkey: Takumi most of the time. Gackt playing Mega Man 2 or Xevious.
- Takumi gets it so bad that during the read through of P.S. I LOVE U Gackt purposefully reads Takumi's name as "Hagemi" and reads his lines with a stereotypical "fat guy" voice.
- Berserk Button: Just remembering Xevious makes him angry.
- Co-Op Multiplayer: Gackt and Takumi occasionally team up to play multiplayer games. Unfortunately their "co-operation" is limited.
- Determinator: Gackt is terrible at Mega Man 2 even so he pushes on.
- Dick Dastardly Stops to Cheat: Gackt tries to beat most games fair and square. Not Xevious. He haaaates Xevious. During the first play through he immediately asks Takumi for advice to cheat and eventually resorts to taking advantage of its two player mode.
- Friendly Fire: Gackt repeatedly kills Takumi in River City Ransom because he hits anything in front of his fists.
- Hotter and Sexier: Gackt Game Center is this in relation to Game Center CX.
- It's Hard, So It Sucks!: In-Universe. Gackt's reaction to Xevious.
- Kleptomaniac Hero: While playing River City Ransom Gackt spends the most time killing enemies and taking their money to spend on items than advancing through the game.
- Madness Mantra: "Save me Rockman. Save me."
- Nintendo Hard: The games giving Gackt the most trouble or noticeably old school NES games.
- Pandering to the Base: In-Universe. The sponsors pushed Mega Man 3 onto Gackt specifically because of how many views the Mega Man 2 videos garnered.
- Player Tic: Gackt habitually pushes the jump button in Sonic 4 for no reason.
- Rage Quit: Multiple times while playing Mega Man 2 and Xevious.
- Sanity Slippage: By the seventh Mega Man 2 video he is speaking nonsense, screaming and kicking his feet up and down, and asking Mega Man to save him.
- Unwanted Assistance: Takumi is in the background giving Gackt help and advice. Unfortunately much of his advice is wrong.
