Ho Yay / School-Live!

Go To

Though not as heavy on the Les Yay as most other Manga Time Kirara titles the series still has plenty, helped by the general lack of living boys.

  • Episode two has Yuki hold hands with Kurumi while sleeping next to each other.
  • Episode four has Kei and Miki in the same pose sleeping next to each other TWICE, with Taromaru sleeping between them the first time. Kei and Miki are played more like a couple than they are in the manga, possibly thanks to the other survivors being Adapted Out. The ending song to episode four, "We Took Each Other's Hand", has heavy overtones of being a romantic Grief Song.
  • Yuki is very affectionate towards her friends and open about her emotions. She hugs Miki in particular often.
  • In chapter 5 Yuki glomps Kurumi. Kurumi says Yuki shouldn't be worried about her, which causes Yuki to replies to with "At least let me worry about you". Kurumi blushes heavily and apologizes.
  • Ever since Miki saved Kurumi from dying by getting medicine to her after the latter had been infected, Kurumi and Miki have been bonding in a very interesting manner and are becoming pretty close. Manga readers have noticed this and the two of them are frequently shipped together by fans. Some examples of their Les Yay interactions include:
    • When Kurumi says that her dream is to become "a cute bride", Miki stares intensely at her before smiling and saying that her dream is wonderful. They both heavily blush as this happens.
    • Then later on when Miki is asked what her dream for the future is and says that she wants to graduate with the School Living Club, Kurumi takes a picture of her because Miki's smile was "a lovely smile".
    • When Kurumi starts showing some zombie symptoms even after having been supposedly cured, causing Miki to get worried and upset, this happens.
  • In chapter 52, Yuki calls Kurumi out for running off and says that she wants her to stay with her and the rest of the School Living Club forever, even if she has to tie her up. The chapter also contains another scene of Yuki and Kurumi holding hands while lying down together.
