Danny Phantom: Stranded

Hidden Depths in this series.

Main Characters

Danny Fenton

  • Danny is shown to have some good survival skills which come in handy during his and Star's time on the island.
  • "Bewitched" reveals that he is an avid fanboy of an in-universe stand-in for The Legend of Zelda, even showing a common annoyance with fans who mistake Hylians for elves.

Star Strong

  • Star is a skilled bowler, takes ballet and is very athletic, the latter of which helps with her ghost fighting.
  • She has a deep love and talent for drawing, even wanting to be a sketch artist when she grows up. For her talent act in the Miss Teen Amity Park pageant, she paints a replica of Starry Night.
  • She reveals in "Trapped" that she likes video games and collects antique dolls.
  • She seems to be a fan of the Friday the 13th film series.
  • She is multilingual and claims to know Spanish, French, German and Japanese, since according to her, her father believed that it would benefit her.
  • In "Bewitched", Star is revealed to be a fan of a stand-in for Mario Party.

The Bevier Family

Stella Bevier

  • It's later revealed that despite always being shallow and selfish, Stella did truly love Johnathan when she married him. Also, she still loves her daughter and it's shown that in Star's early childhood, she was not always a bad mother to her.
  • "Dressed" heavily implies that Stella is more observant and self-aware than she seems and secretly isn't as happy as she presents herself, wishing she wasn't so spoiled. When Danny and Johnathan try to comfort her over what Star said to her, Stella grimly tells herself that she did something foolish and did not consider the consequences.
    • When her ex-husband tries to cheer her up after Star's outburst by pointing out that she is trying to make up for her mistakes, Stella realizes to herself that she forgot how mature Johnathan is and is genuinely touched by his words. This hints that she misses Johnathan deep down but is in denial, acting confused because she is supposed to be happy with Jean-Luc and their family.
    • Spectra reveals to Team Phantom that Stella is secretly miserable and might regret her life choices. She states that even Stella isn't sure if Jean Luc is cheating on her or not, and possibly knows that her stepdaughter does not truly love her and only uses her.
  • Traveled reveals more of Stella's past:
    • She wanted to join a girl's soccer team as a child.
    • She took figure skating when she was young and even won a competition at one point.
    • She was homecoming queen in high school.
    • She has a soft spot for horses, having an old horse named Pearl on her father's estate that she is still very fond of.
  • "Traveled" also reveals she has recently taken up skeet shooting in order to improve her aim from "Visited", and admits that she finds it relaxing.

Jean-Luc Bevier

  • In "Boxed", Jean-Luc is revealed to be a fan of boxing. He also seems to be well-informed on the sport as he analyzes Danny's fight against a ghostly samurai and claims, "Zat man in armor was a surprisingly good swarmer despite how heavy that armor was. Ze ghost boy was smart, choosing to keep his guard up in a Peek-a-boo style".
  • Even though Jean-Luc inherited his wealth from his family's vineyard and is a vain snob who spends his money in lavish ways when he is not chasing after women or spending time at the country club, he does seems to be working from home and takes his business seriously.
  • In "Barked", Jean-Luc is revealed to have experience using firearms, as he spent summers practicing with his friends in Spain.

Colette Bevier

  • Despite having a pretty exterior and a vain personality, Colette shows she's far more clever than she appears to be. She was able to concoct a scheme to blackmail Danny into leaving Star for her and deduce Star is Starlight Spirit until being convinced otherwise.
  • "Staged" reveals that Colette enjoys stage theater and is a good enough actress to be cast as Hermia's (Star's) understudy in Lancer's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.
  • As vapid and shallow as Colette is, she looks for more than just money in a potential husband, as she vastly prefers the middle-class Nice Guy Danny Fenton over the wealthy Jerkass Donovan Loadman even when he was his father's heir.
  • She is fluent in Swedish and Italian, having learned them while her father was married to her second and third stepmother, respectively.

Casper High

Kwan Li

  • It's revealed that Kwan is deeply insecure, as he remains with the A-listers due to wanting to belong someplace and fears that if the group were to disband, he wouldn't have anything else.
  • When cast in the school play, he is able to easily understand Shakespeare's script compared to the other jocks, suggesting that despite his reputation, Kwan is more academically astute when he really applies himself.
  • He's a skilled enough actor to get the role of Demetrius in Lancer's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream in "Staged" and ends up delivering a good performance, if only for the sake of extra credit, indicating he has some legitimate talent in drama.
  • Kwan justifies his acting above by revealing he watches and emulates soap operas in his free time.

Spike Jones

  • Despite his intimidating appearance, he is shown to be a very proud individual and a talented actor, having been going to theater camp since 6th grade. He's even interested in pursuing Broadway after college.
  • He is also revealed to be very insightful; Spike admits that the reason he let Jazz be his therapist is because he knew that she was projecting her own family issues onto him and decided to let her vent in order to make her feel better.

Michelle Lynne Clarke

  • "Staged" reveals she was in the drama club and is a good enough actress to get the role of Helena in Lancer's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The Fenton Family and Relatives

Jack Fenton

  • Jack reveals in "Bonding" that he enjoys golfing.
  • As Jeremy is told in "Blackmailed", Jack might be a goof who doesn't always follow traffic rules but he has several degrees and patents to his name, and earned enough money to fund his and Maddie's research and put their kids through college.

Alicia McDonaldson

  • "Entranced" reveals that Alicia is a very skilled swimmer. She also used to be a wrestler named "the Red Grizzly beat of Spittoon" before she married her ex-husband.

The Strong Family and Relatives

Johnathan Strong

  • "Staged" reveals that he enjoys theater and has some experience acting in community theater.

Joy Strong

  • She power-walks daily, once ran a marathon, and is a skilled swimmer and sharpshooter.
  • She takes Spanish lessons and likes photography.

Kirk Strong

  • He once served in the military during his younger years.
  • He is part of some men's club, and is skilled at sharpshooting.

Allies and Friends

Tucker Foley

  • Like Jean-Luc, Tucker is revealed to be a fan of boxing. He's able to identify the Box Ghost's boxing style from being told the latter never took a hit.

Solene Elizabeth Brown

  • She took pottery lessons and enjoys hand-crafting vases.
  • Solene also spent a summer in college interning at the Artistic Institute, where she learned from watching the classes; in "Dressed", she was able to identify Star's painting technique as impasto.
  • Her hobbies include (aside from art, watching Billington's Island, and reading) listening to classic rock and stargazing.
  • "Traveled" reveals she was on a gymnastics team.

Others

Box Ghost

  • He's a good enough boxer to defeat Skulker in "Boxed".

Ida Manson

  • "Golden" reveals she speaks and understands Esperanto.
  • She has personal history with Richard Traville.

Richard Traville

  • The final chapter of "Visited" reveals that he had served in the army in his younger years.

Georgia Williams

  • According to Star, Georgia is shown to be good with money and rather humble, preferring to dress in a more modest fashion.
  • In "Faked", Star also states that Georgia's favorite color is blue, she is a Capricorn and she is Spanish/Mexican on her mother's side.

Stories

Dressed

  • It seems most of the characters have an interest in anime. Tucker's response to a giant Spectra is to shout the English translation of the first lyrics from the original Attack on Titan opening, Danny's mention of drills and shouting "One For All" suggests he's a fan of both Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and My Hero Academia, Star flat out says she loves Sailor Moon and Venus is her favorite character, Sam's comments on what she thinks is the best anime suggests it's Kill la Kill, while Spectra herself enjoys Slice of Life and it seems her favorite is K-On!, gushing about who is obviously Mio unironically. While Valerie reminds everyone to remember what they're doing, she briefly mentions her favorite involves spaceships with arms, which suggests it's Outlaw Star.
