Beth Ann and Rob rollerskating together. It's probably the only time we seem them genuinely happy.
After Simone comes to terms with Karl's sexuality, she tells him that even though she can't have him as a husband, there's no reason she still can't have him as a friend.
Simone: And I do like to keep my friends happy.
When Karl's AIDS diagnosis is made public, Simone doesn't use this as the obvious way to divorce him. Instead, she sticks by Karl through it all, even against her own scandals and showing how, in an odd way, the two truly do love each other.
After his death she turned the house into the headquarters for her organisation: raising money for AI Ds research and tells Eli and Taylor that she ended up living a very fulfilling life.
Season Two
At Alma's inauguration as Garden Club President, she reveals her fur stole is stained with Rita's blood to the whole crowd. But even after a chef yelled about a dead body in the alley and the remaining club members (and snooty) were able to piece two and two together, they still try to check on a distraught and spaced out Alma with concern rather than understandable fear.
