  • Fushi's attachment to the Nameless Boy's form and remembering him down to his scent.
  • The Nameless Boy's afterlife doesn't get pulled out from under him like the others, he immediately sees his beloved dog, family, and is off to meet people in Paradise just like he always wanted.
  • March who desperately wants to be a mother, happily "adopts" Fushi and takes care of him.
  • Parona acts as a big sister towards March, happily indulging in playing house with the little girl and tries to free her from the bear just as she was about to be sacrificed.
  • Despite the man-eating bear's size and ferociousness, March still attempts to take care of it and take as many spears out of its body as she can.
  • When the attendants drag Fushi to a nearby bath, stripping her and washing her, a slightly embarrassed Kahaku tells them to not hurt her or they'd have to answer to him.
  • While Bon can seem like a bit of an airhead and a jerk, he does care about his people, his family and even Fushi.
  • Todo literally digging through a pile shit to retrieve Bon's prized handkerchief that had been blown in there by the wind.
    • It's hinted at that Todo could be the mysterious girl who Bon had a crush on when he was younger.
  • Fushi asking Kahaku if men can love other men. She is genuinely curios because of Todo's apparent affections towards Bon despite them being a man, but understands them not acting on those feelings because of how the kingdom might treat that relationship. Kahaku admits that it is possible since they live in such a big world, but he's not entirely sure.
  • As Bon uses Todo as a chair, Fushi angrily tells Bon to stop doing that and asks "Isn't it terrible to do this to someone who likes you?!" Bon then demotes Todo from a chair to the shoe department, and when Fushi apologizes, Todo doesn't hold anything against her saying that he wants to support Bon in anyway he can, even in the shadows.
  • Fushi borrows a doll while shopping in a nearby town, and as she admires it. She admits to Bon that she loves it because how pretty she looks and she's "prettier than anything I've ever seen". Then her tone drops a little as she says that March would have loved to see her.
    • Bon then sets the doll down after Fushi leaves, and quietly speaks to March, "You're so very lucky". As he exits the tent, March's spirit can be seen hunched over looking at Bon while her hand is reaching out for the doll.
  • It's shown that as Faie, Fushi's companions are able to travel a fair distance away from him. When Tonari is revived in the modern era, she notes her boredom from spending centuries by Fushi's side while he was "sleeping," showing that she, and potentially the other Faie, preferred by stay by his side as she waited.
