- Harry's way of explaining his relationship with Eddie:Johnson: Why do you look after him?Harry: He thinks he's looking after me.
- Also, right before he goes on the job Frenchy wants him to do, Harry insults Eddie for the first time all movie, and even yells at him. That may seem cruel at first, but it's because Harry doesn't want Eddie to get hurt (or worse) if he comes along.
- Then there's when Eddie gets released at the end. Harry doesn't come right out and say it, but he's glad to see Eddie's all right.
