Heartwarming / The Untouchables (1987)

• The mother of the daughter that gets blown to bits in the opening. Despite him having a really bad day on the job, she personally goes to visit Ness to thank him for trying his part in bringing the murderer of her daughter to justice.
• Every time Eliot and his wife Catherine share a scene. It may be too sugary though.
• Ness naming his newborn son John James in honor of his friend and mentor, Jim Malone. Cue to Ness putting a hand on Malone's shoulder when saying the baby's name.
• At the end of the film, Ness says farewell to George Stone, the only other Untouchable left alive, and gives him Jim's St. Jude medallion, saying that Jim would have been proud if a police officer owned it.
• Capone himself has his moment. He reassures him his barber who accidentally cuts him in the face and looks totally scared that it's all right.
