Heartwarming / The Story of Cinderella

Go To

  • In one episode, Cinderella comes down with a fever due to being overworked. The animals bring over Prince Charles to help. Charles promises to take of Cinderella while she's sick, and that he won't leave her until she's better.
  • In the fifth episode, Cinderella stops Prince Charles and Alex from shooting her stepsister Jeanne when they mistake her for a bear in a thick fog. Even though Jeanne has been nothing but horrible to her, she calls out "Don't shoot! That's my sister!" ("sister," not "stepsister") and then hugs the sobbing Jeanne to comfort her.
  • In the twenty-first episode, Cinderella's stepmother falls gravely ill. The only way to cure her is to find a rare herb which grows in a dangerous forest to the north. Despite her stepmother's cruel treatment of her, Cinderella goes out of her way to find it. Not only does she find the forest, but she overcomes the dangers and collects the herb. Before she goes, she has a meeting with the spirit of her late mother.
    • Plus when Cinderella revives her stepmother, the stepmother becomes kinder to nature and plants a new tree using one of the branches she ordered the gardener to chop down from an existing tree.
  • Cinderella deciding to wear her mother's favorite dress to the ball, despite it being outdated, is heartwarming in itself.
  • In the last episode, Cinderella's stepmother and stepsisters finally stop being mean to her. They make her a floral crown. Cinderella actually hugs her stepmother - it's especially heartwarming since this was the same woman who had treated her so unfairly. It shows that Cinderella still loved her stepmother despite the latter's meanness.
  • The wedding scene at the very end of the series definitely qualifies.
    • One shot during the coronation scene briefly focuses on Lora, suggesting that she was able to reconcile with her parents.
    • Another shot depicts the father and son who briefly held Cinderella and Isabel hostage happily enjoying the feast and waving to the happy couple, implying they turned their lives around after the encounter.
  • Despite the Pair the Spares plot that sends Isabel off, it’s still nice to see her having grown as a person over the series to the point where she chooses true love and independence over her father’s ambitions.
  • In the fourth episode, when Charles saves Cinderella from being trampled by the horse, he exclaims "I won't let anything happen to my princess!" Even though she's dressed in rags, and for all he knows at this point is a real servant, and even though she hasn't been entirely friendly to him, he's already enamored with her.
