• During his Hall of Fame speech, he told the story of how Verne Gagne wanted him to shoot on Hulk Hogan and break his legs instead of dropping the then WWF World Championship belt to him (Hogan was another Gagne creation who had left and joined the WWF to become a bigger star) and offered him both money (about $100,000) and protection in Gagne and Jim Crockett's territory if he did so. His response? He told Gagne off, saying that he wouldn't do it because of his great respect for the company and the Vincent J. McMahon (and despite Hogan himself having heat with Sheiky).
• When the Ultimate Warrior died, even Sheiky proceeded to pay his respects on Twitter, saying that he didn't mean any of the hateful things he had said about Warrior over the years, and that all the rants had been works.
• Sheik is prone to casually slinging homophobic slang in his tirades, but he recently posted on Twitter in support of openly-gay football player Michael Sam being drafted with the St. Louis Rams.

• When Iranian wrestler Navid Afkari was convicted for the murder of an IRGC security guard during the 2018 Iranian protests under dubious circumstances^note Though he confessed to the murder, he later revealed it was under duress and the reason for the conviction was because he took part in the protests, the Iron Sheik showed support for Afkari and called for the conviction to be overturned. When Afkari was executed in September of 2020, the Sheik took to Twitter to demand that IOC president Thomas Bach sanction Iran in the upcoming Olympics.
• Iron Sheik once confirmed that his Twitter account is run by an agent who puts up Tweets for him based on conversations with him in ALL CAPS Angrish mimicking the No Indoor Voice manner in which he publicly speaks.
  • He was adamant on maintaining his personal invokedLove to Hate relationship with career-defining rival Hulk Hogan up to his dying breath. So of course this was one of his final tweets, within the last two days of his life:

  • For context, there have been moments where he indicated that it was mostly in good fun, such as when he and Hogan got into an argument on Howard Stern's show only to cool off and go "I love you brother," as well as Sheik congratulating Hogan on successfully suing Gawker Media in his typical ALL CAPS style. Given that Hogan posted a genuine respectful eulogy on Instagram after the news of Khozrow's passing, it's likely Terry received one last good laugh from his friend if he ever read the tweet (though spelling his ring name as "Sheikh" throughout the piece may have been his own rib returning the favor).
  • Speaking of eulogies, the very last "original" tweet on his account (before it transitioned entirely into retweeting tributes, memories, and statements he would most likely agree with) came not on behalf of Sheik alone, but from all of his loved ones, complete with a message from them in four pictures to go with it:
