• "They're holding hands..." "...Good for them.... good for them..."
  • Despite the casual homophobic language banded around by the characters (fairly realistic for the setting), the other lads are perfectly accepting of Lomper and Guy and don't treat them any differently once they find out the two are now a couple.
• After Gerald's post-interview meltdown, caused by Gaz and Dave, they have a My God, What Have I Done? realisation that their old boss is just as broken a man as they are. They (and Lomper) repair the gnome they shattered and buy him a little gnome wheelbarrow as an apology.
• "You said so. I believe you."
• "Jeanie, who wants to see this dance?" "Me, Dave. I do."
• When Lomper claims he hasn't got any mates (to run him over) Gaz immediately retorts:
  "Listen to you, we just saved your fucking life so don't tell us we're not your mates, all right?"
• ALL the family and friends in the audience cheering for the guys at the finale. Some members of Lomper's musical group are even playing the soundtrack!
