Heartwarming / Supernova (One Piece)

• When Nami finally breaks down and admits to Luffy what a hell Arlong has made her life, he promises to "Feed Arlong his nose". Also the fact that, unlike canon, Nami trusts Luffy to actually beat Arlong.
• At Whiskey Peak, Mr. 5 tries to kill Luffy despite his partner, Miss Valentine, being in the line of fire. Luffy not only saves her, but also invites her to join his crew.
• During their first meeting, Luffy quietly offers Robin some much needed compassion, noting she's been alone for a very long time.
• While Robin joins the Straw Hats early out of pragmatism, she becomes as loyal as any other crew member after Luffy risks his life to save her on Drum Island. Specifically, Luffy struggles to get both Vivi and Robin to Dr. Kureha and at one point accidentally drops Robin. Just as she accepts her death, Luffy comes literally rocketing out of the sky to save her. When she asks why he'd do so, especially as now he might not be able to save Vivi, Luffy declares she's his friend and that's all the reason he needs.
• In chapter 9, when Chopper tries to declare that he's a monster, Luffy cheerfully states that he doesn't even rate a one on a scale of 1 to 10.
• When Luffy declares a party to celebrate having a new crew member (Chopper), Robin chimes in that they have two, meaning she's officially joined up with the Straw Hats rather than just allying with them for convenience. Luffy, being Luffy, has no idea what she's talking about as she's been a crew member for a while now.
• In chapter 10, Vivi joins Luffy's and Nami's relationship.
• Robin outright calls the Straw Hats her "first friends in twenty years". Doubles as a Tear Jerker.
