Heartwarming / Screen Rant Pitch Meetings

Go To

  • The Screenwriter and Producer's relationship usually ranges from a cordial business relationship to the Producer thinking of the Screenwriter as a weirdo, if not outright disapproving of some of the Screenwriter's worse ideas. However, after the Screenwriter is mortified at a Plot Hole in Toy Story- that there's no reason for Buzz to act like a toy if he thinks that he's a space ranger for most of the movie- the Producer tells the Screenwriter not to beat himself up over it.
  • Throughout the Avengers: Endgame Pitch Meeting, the Producer is so giddy and enthusiastic about the movie that Screenwriter even asks him to knock it off. Then when the Screenwriter starts describing the final battle scene, Producer constantly says "Wow, wow, wow!" and "I love it!" at every cool scene. For the first time ever, he practically went all fanboy.
  • Just watching Ryan George play around with new movies is really heartwarming.
    • Especially when he makes it apparent that he really does enjoy the movie and thinks it's well-made, as he did with John Wick.
  • In celebration of the 100th episode, George acted out the pitch meeting for Pitch Meetings. At the end, when Producer Guy says that the concept might only be good for two or three episodes, the usual Dramatic Irony Screen Rant headline is replaced by an end card thanking the audience for getting the series to 100 episodes.
  • Right at the beginning of the Sharknado pitch, as soon as the Screenwriter delivers the title, the Producer states he's interested in hearing the pitch. The Screenwriter briefly assumes the Producer rejected it, and not only is shocked to hear he's still listeningnote , but when prompted to continue, he excitedly launches into the plot itself.
  • During the pitch meeting for Home Sweet Home Alone, the Producer is genuinely rooting for the "burglars" and repeatedly states his hopes that nothing bad happens to them.
  • It's a bit of an understated moment, but during the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, pitch meeting, the Producer, after hearing that the movie will begin with a tribute to Chadwick Boseman, the Producer replies, "Of course," completely forgoing any of his catchphrases or other eccentricity. His "Wow." after hearing about Shuri failing to save her brother sounds as though he actually meant it for once.
