Sankarea is NOT an ecchi series but is actually very sad. However, when it's heartwarming, it's really heartwarming. The most heartwarming bit in the series is the fact that despite being an ordinary boy, Chihiro wants to protect and preserve Rea from dying as a zombie not because he has a zombie fetish or anything but out of pure selfless love and no matter how aloof he acts, what he does for her is proof that he's a kind person at heart and worthy to be Rea's best friend.
