  • When Beckett asks the newly arrested Will and Elizabeth if they remember a "pirate by the name of Jack Sparrow", they instantly reply simultaneously with "Captain."
  • During the final battle against the Kraken, it grabs Elizabeth's foot and starts to drag her away, but Ragetti of all people saves her. Bear in mind that he went from torturing the poor girl's mind in the first film, and fighting her in sword combat earlier in this film, to saving her life by chopping the Kraken's tentacle off with an axe.
  • "I will not abandon you." Doubles as a Tear Jerker.
  • When Norrington mentions the hurricane off Tripoli to Gibbs, Gibbs' response is a horrified "Lord. You didn't try to sail through it!?" Even if he's on the opposite side of the law, Gibbs still has nothing but compassion for a fellow man of the sea. That said, he likely realized what became of the men crewed on the ship (although most of them survived).
  • At one point during the Pearl-Dutchman chase, Pintel, usually one half of the resident comedy relief duo, drops any pretense of that and immediately puts everything he can into making sure the Pearl gets away. At one point after tying a knot, he quickly urges the ship on with "Come on me darling, show 'em what you've got!" As much as Jack loves his ship, it's clear her crew feels very much the same.
  • When Elizabeth deceives and shackles Jack to the ship so the rest can escape the Kraken solely after him, the only way to convey his expression towards her is one of overwhelming pride. When she tries to tell him all her reasons for doing so, he simply spits back "Pirate!" in a playful accusatory manner to acknowledge what she is and always secretly wanted to be despite her outward behavior.
  • The fact that when Tia Dalma offers them a way to perhaps bring Jack back, all of them immediately agree. Jack Sparrow may not be the best of people and some of them may have had ulterior motives, but he means enough to them to risk a journey to Hell itself to save him from a fate worse than death.
Tia Dalma: What would you do? What would any of you be willing to do? Would you sail to the ends of the earth, and beyond, to fetch back witty Jack, and him precious Pearl?
    Gibbs: Aye.
    Pintel: Aye!
    Ragetti: Aye.
    Elizabeth: Yes.
    Will: Aye.
  • During their initial encounter with Jones, Jack tries to negotiate for Will's freedom once Jones says he'll be the first of Jack's ninety-nine souls to collect, even pulling at his heartstrings by to try and convince Jones to release Will so that he might know the "cruelty" of being with his beloved. Yes, Jack does quickly agree to the deal moments later, but he does at least attempt to save Will even if it adds another soul he must acquire.
