Heartwarming / Path of the King

• Spring Moon:
  • Waver returns to Fuyuki and meets Glen and Martha Mackenzie, the couple who sheltered him during the Fourth Holy Grail War, again. They are very happy to see each other again and Waver decides to tell them about the existence of magic and the Grail War.
  • Shirou reveals he knows who Medea is and doesn't particularly mind. This causes Medea to realize for the first time in her existence she can simply be herself, instead of whatever the Gods or Jason want her to be.
• Her Ally: Shirou promises to be exactly that for Medea. After a lifetime of betrayal, this hits her hard.
• Broken Junction:
  • Waver moves to save Jun and his wife despite knowing that Caster has taken the field.
  • Detective Dojima is in way over his head where Fuyuki's paranormal activity is involved. He allies with Shirou nevertheless, because even though he knows he has limited uses, one kid shouldn't need to be a vigilante to pick up his department's slack.
• One Promise: Taiga accepts Shirou after learning he's a Magus and everything he's been through.
• Fake Opening: Shirou tells Medea that he trusts her absolutely. This makes her show genuine emotion for the first time in the chapter.
• The measure of a monster:
  • Shirou comes to Satsuki's defense after she was turned into a vampire. Soon enough, she finds an opportunity to return the favor.
  • Ciel's decision to let them go in the following chapter. Doubles as a Tear Jerker because she can understand Satsuki's plight better than anyone else and is convinced that one day, she'll have to return and kill her.
• Medea finally getting through to Shirou.
• Rider's protectiveness towards Sakura.
• Shirou knew about Illya, and he had been planning to rescue her for years. When he finds out that she's the new lesser grail, he laments not being able to "make it in time", and decides to shut down the Grail system entirely, rather than allow her to be used for the purpose her family intends for her. Saber (who was friends with Irisviel and knew Illya when she was a child), Rin (who realizes that Shirou and Illya's relationship and her and Sakura's are not so different) immediately agree on this plan of action.
