Heartwarming / Oddworld

• Munch thanking Abe for helping him get the Gabbiar. It gets this because Word of God reveals that while the Mudokons respect Abe, they never actually thanked him for saving them (besides the Big Face). You can see it on Abe's face, he's pretty taken aback by it.
• As Abe and Munch watch Vykkers Labs go down in flames, they give each other a sweet fist bump for a job well done. Usually it's Abe who does all the work by himself, but with Munch's help, it proves to be even more sweeter.
• In Soulstorm, Abe isn't alone in his journey, he has Alf and Toby, who are integral to his journey by running their train. Even learning of the dangers they will face, they still trust in Abe to walk towards it themselves. In previous titles, Abe is usually all by himself or doing all the heavy lifting, here he has actual support and friends to help along the way.
• At the beginning of Soulstorm, the rescued Mudokons from Rupture Farms share a toast to Abe in gratitude and have written "Abe the Savior" and "Freedom Forever". Whether or not they directly thanked him, considering they didn't in the original continuity, it's clear they hold him high regard.
• Usually in bad endings, everyone denounces Abe as a no-good schmuck and happily lets him die or turns him in themselves. Soulstorm has Alf actually try to reassure Abe that he did his best, remember, this is also Alf who moments ago was banging on the door, frustratingly demanding Abe to wake up and help them. It's oddly sweet considering it's otherwise the most depressing Downer Ending.
