Never Had A Friend Like Me

  • The entire evolution of Norm and Amanda's relationship. He goes from his usual low view on humanity to eventually serving as a semi-parental figure. And considering her actual parents, the Jerkass Genie is an improvement.
  • Norm fixing Amanda's teddy bear after bullies destroy it - and this is before he acknowledges that he's actually starting to care for her.
  • Timmy offering the new student at his school friendship, even if it was originally just on a trial run.
  • Norm providing Amanda a dress for the school dance, no strings attached.
    • He later comes disguised to the dance to check if she's having a good time, leading a teacher to mistake him for a concerned relative and ask which kid is his. His going along with the lie is quite nice foreshadowing.
  • Wanda actually worries about Amanda, her maternal instinct telling her that something's really wrong with the girl.
    • After hearing Wanda, Timmy suggests to loan her to Amanda. Only, it doesn't work. See, a fairy godparent can be loaned to another child if this child is more unhappy than the original godchild, and Amanda is not.
  • Timmy and Norm are willing to tolerate each other because they recognize that they're both good for Amanda in their own ways.
  • Even after Norm's magic wears off, Trixie genuinely wants to continue being friends with Sanjay. She even opens up a friendship to Elmer as well later on.
    • When Sanjay discovers Trixie's hobby of comic books and video games, he promises not to tell anyone, and even offers to buy comics for her if she provides him the money so she can keep her secret.
  • When offered the one thing he wants more than anything else in the world, Norm turns down Amanda's initial offer to free him until she at least uses her second wish.
    • And then he goes further by later telling her that she can wish for more wishes and encouraging her to do so.

  • Christmas Eve.
  • Timmy, Cosmo, and Wanda hugging Amanda after she makes a wish to protect Poof so he won't vanish from existence whenever Timmy loses his fairies in the future. Doubles as a Funny Moment when Poof hugs Norm.
  • I don't know about any of y'all but it hit me straight in the heart to see Norm basically picking her up and cradling her as if she were his daughter after the Pixies and the Anti-Fairies tried to kill her because it was convenient for them.
  • In a bittersweet way, Jorgen thinking how it would be better for Norm to not grow too fond of Amanda... since he knows how a magical being-child bond ends up, and not even a Jerkass Genie deserves to watch his beloved ward dying of old age.
  • Amanda hugging Norm after Bob has been defeated and getting a hug in return.
    • Especially heart-warming because previously everyone thought Norm was dead.
  • What, no love for the ending scene? I dunno about you guys, but it tore me up inside with the way Norm reacted to Amanda dying, and then the way he fixed it.
    • And no love for how he gave Timmy a new chance at life simply because Amanda likes him? And turning him into a fairy so he can officially be part of the best family he's ever had?

Tales as Old as Time
  • In Tales as Old as Time, Amanda tells Remy that she is not ignorant or useless, showing she is taking what Norm, Timmy, and her new friends have told her to heart, now believing she has some self-worth, though her parents still need to learn that.
    • Going even further, when standing up for herself to Remy, she thinks of a way to prove her point by springing upon a loophole she used in the original story, and does it in a fashion that Norm would be proud of. This shows that she is picking up some of Norm's mannerisms and tricks, indicating that they have gotten so close to the point that Norm is rubbing off on her.
  • While Norm's dislike for Timmy hasn't waned, he's well-aware that Timmy would never intentionally upset Amanda and neither would any of his friends.
  • Crocker still remembers the events of the episode Bad Heir Day and still remembers "DJ" enough to let Timmy's fairies go when he saw Poof.
  • During his (long overdue) Reason Why You Suck Speech towards Amanda's parents, Norm more-or-less describes Amanda as his kid.
  • Mark hugs Amanda, despite the action being potentially harmful to himself.
  • Mark stays on Yugopotamia for a little while to visit his family and friends since he hadn't had a chance to visit recently.
  • Norm decides to make a plan so Amanda's parents never hurt her again. And he is willing to spend hours planning and researching and even broker a deal with both HP and Jorgen to make sure that it works perfectly. And he refuses to ever leave his kid. Doubles as a Moment of Awesome.
    • What is said plan you may ask? He becomes her legal guardian, something that Wanda openly approves of when Norm asks her to babysit Amanda while he finalizes things.
