Heartwarming / Kane

Go To

  • Kane's friendship with former tag team partner X-Pac from 1999 to the early 2000s. The latter was the first friend the former had in kayfabe and a positive influence. Turns tearjerking due to X-Pac's later betrayal of Kane, but it was nice while it lasted.
  • On Taboo Tuesday 2005 After The Big Show and Kane win the World Tag Team Champions for the first time, both Big Show and, surprisingly, Kane have the biggest grins on their face and are laughing at a job with done. Keep in mind this was during a time where Kane was scene as a serious monster, but to see him and Show act like old buddies winning the titles together really looks special honestly.
  • April 15, 2011: Kane making peace with kayfabe ex-archenemy Edge and shaking his hand after Edge was forced to legitimately retire.
  • June 4, 2013: Kane actually begging Daniel Bryan not to wrestle Ryback alone, saying that in all the time he's been in WWE, he's never seen anyone with Bryan's heart, desire and talent, and that Daniel has nothing to prove to anyone. It ends up falling on deaf ears and even becomes something of a Tear Jerker when Bryan demands Kane to stay away from him, which you can tell by Kane's heartbroken expression really hurts. It really shows you how far the Character Development of Team Hell No has come since they first won the Tag Team championships.
  • Glenn Jacobs himself is widely considered to be one of the nicest people in wrestling. A lot of backstage stories have been spread in interviews by former WWE superstars about disputes with other wrestlers, people acting like jerks, running around naked and wasted in hotel lobbies, etc, but no one has ever had a bad word to say about Kane. If Jim Cornette has nothing bad to say about Kane, then you know he must be a tremendous individual.
    • During the Attitude Era, when the Hardy Boys (relatively new at the time) went into the First Class seats, Jeff Hardy happen to take Kane's seat. When Jeff tried to give it back, Kane wasn't upset at all, let him have it and he went to coach.
    • In a "related" note, Kane has been married to his wife for almost 25 years, a rarity in an industry as difficult as professional wrestling. They have also been married almost his entire WWE career, tying the knot only two months after his debut as Isaac Yankem.
    • Also of note is his niceness to his fans, as he has always been reported as gracious whenever approached by fans for autographs, and even visiting children's hospitals.
  • Glenn Jacobs and Bryan Danielson couldn't be further apart politically, being respectively libertarian and socialist. Nevertheless Danielson actively campaigned for Jacobs's run for political office because he had so much respect for the man that their policy differences didn't matter.
  • Ever since Glenn Jacobs got elected mayor of Knox County, TN, he has still made sporadic appearances in WWE as Kane. EVERY time he has appeared as Kane since being elected, he has donated his payoff for the night to a charity that benefits Knox County or East Tennessee. For example, when he appeared at the 2021 Royal Rumble (to keep his streak of continuous Rumble appearances alive), he donated his pay to the Knox County Mayor’s Applied Technology Scholarship Fund.
  • On March 24th, 2021, Mark Callaway (The Undertaker), had the honor to inform Kane on WWE "The Bump" that he will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2021. At first, Kane thought it was a joke, until he's told otherwise. It is clear on his face that he is fighting back tears, it really means a lot for him to be inducted.
    • At Wrestlemania 37, not only does he get a standing ovation, but he gets a send-off with his in-ring pyro. You can even see him asking Rob Van Dam for permission to do it.
