    In General
  • Hajime doesn't understand humans and is more or less hostile to everyone, but Haruka and Amane. His desire to protect them at costs was exploited by several of the Undead and always worked.
    • Amane probably loves Hajime just as much as her mother, even thought that love is clingy and sometimes inappropriate. He only smiles for them or rarely Kenzaki later into the story.
  • Kenzaki's effort to get the other riders to stop being jerks to each other enough to cooperate. He managed to get Tachibana to work with him and Hajime to be less hostile. Getting them to work together in the team was so much more hard work.
    • Kenzaki says that he loves everyone and the way he always wants to save everyone he can definitely fits that. That includes even Hajime against his protests (and everyone else's).
  • Kenzaki and Tachibana's teamwork is good to watch, especially coming off the two direct predecessors, Ryuki and 555, who had this chance rarely or never.
    Episode 2: The Mysterious Rider
  • Kotaro stating to Kenzaki that he would rather befriend someone who's been betrayed a 100 times over one who's betrayed others a 100 times as a way to affirm their friendship.
    Episode 7: The Trapped Two
  • After being motivated by Shiori and Kotaro, Tachibana comes to Kenzaki's aid.
    Epiosde 8: The Revived People
  • Tachibana and Sayoko's date, at least before the Zebra Undead interrupted by rampaging at the outlet mall they were at.
    Episode 10: The Manipulated Warrior
  • Jin tries to stop Hajime from leaving because he needs the guy around to protect him from thugs and Yakuza. Hajime has none of it at first, but takes up Jin's offer to do anything. That thing is visiting Jacaranda and checking up on the Kuriharas every so often.
    • Jin also helps Hajime untangle some feeling he doesn't understand. He calls Hajime strange, but having such an odd (or even scary) acquaintance doesn't seem to bother him all too much.
Episode 11: The Whereabouts Of Each
  • Kotaro steps in the fight between Garren and Blade and makes Tachibana back down for the moment.
    Episode 14: Ace Sealed!
  • Kenzaki finds Hajime passed out after a fight and even though he doesn't trust the guy any further than he could throw him he still helps. The following situation is awkward to say the least and they both deal with it in their own way. Kenzaki tries to be casual and Hajime goes along with his efforts just begrudgingly.
  • Kenzaki is baffled when Shiori and Kotaro come looking for him because it wouldn't ever occur to him that they could be worried. Things only get more complicated from there as they find Hajime and are justifiedly mad at Kenzaki for being with him.
    Episode 15: Fate's Conformer
  • After being convinced by Kenzaki that being around them protects them from Undead threats, Hajime returns to the Jacaranda Cafe in the rain, getting hugged by Amane who welcomes him back.
Episode 20: The Target Is Kotaro
  • Amane making a drawing for Hajime to cheer him up.
Episode 22: The Escape From Darkness
  • Tachibana really cares about Mutsuki and tries his best to help him and even defends him when others when they (rightfully) complain.
    • Mutsuki also cares about Tachibana and wants to be a good student, but he doesn't show it nowhere near as much and his behavior doesn't help even when he is himself.
Episode 26: The Power Which Moves Me
  • Just the fact that the gang finally managed to have a Royal Club ally (Shima).
  • Shima's desire for peace and being astonished by humans.
  • During Hajime and Shima's fight, Amane is on her bike and calls out for Hajime. Hajime then undoes his transformation and comes to her side.
    Episode 27: The Trembling Heart...
  • Tachibana explaining to Shima that the others actually like him after the latter suggested being sealed in an attempt to save Mutsuki.
    Episode 28: A Dangerous Gamble!?
  • Shima saving Nozomi from the Pecker Undead.
  • After being told about Nozomi from Tachibana, Shima later attempts to use Nozomi's feelings for the lad via wind balls to free Mutsuki from Spider's control.
    Episode 30: Lost Memories
  • Due to Azumi endangering Michi, the normally cowardly Ryo steps in to save his girlfriend with a takoyaki plate.
  • Ryo and Michi's marriage at the end of the episode.
    Episode 32: The Destroyer's Secret
  • The Human Undead let himself be sealed so as to induce Humanity Is Infectious in the Joker. Successfully, to say the least.
  • Kenzaki's constant effort to care about Hajime despite his chaotic, taciturn nature (and the whole monster part too) eventually starts wearing on the man.
    • Kenzaki saves exhausted, shaken Hajime from Leangle after his cards were taken by King and finally manages to pry some answers out of him. Alongside the reason why he enjoys being human.
Hajime: Ever since I sealed him note , the thought of returning to that form has become detestable. And then being human, for some reason ...
    • When the Scarab Undead attacks Kenzaki, Hajime comes to his aid and even calls him by his name, showing that kenzaki finally got to him and convinced him to care.
    • Following the fight with Scarab Undead and their cooperation in defeating it, Hajime is just as unhelpful as ever.
Kenzaki: You should let your wounds heal.
Hajime: Unnecessary meddling. I will retake my cards.
    Kenzaki: Aren't we friends?
Hajime: Are you sure you want to say that? My true form is-
Kenzaki: ... is Aikawa Hajime, right?
Hajime: (looks up in surprise and then slowly smiles)
    • When Tachibana arrives and tells Kenzaki about Joker's power, he is shocked at first, but still keeps himself between between them, because he believes things don't have to be that way. Hajime steps out as he intended to face Tachibana and probably be sealed, but Kenzaki pushes him back.
    Episode 34: Category King
  • Hajime turns into the Joker, but memories of Haruka and Amane allow him to keep in control for a while longer. He manages to strike back against Leangle by using his Fusion Wolf card and The Power of Friendship, both left to him by Kenzaki.
Leangle: I am the strongest Rider.
Hajime: What's really strong... strong... is human emotion!
  • Shiori goes to search for Kenzaki because she knows he needs them, even if he doesn't agree with that. She finds him, but he blows her off because he doesn't want her or Kotaro to get hurt by Trial D Undead that's after him. She then slaps him and asks him what's his job to get him back to his senses. He goes along with it and she tells him that when she doubted, he was there for her. He is not alone and shouldn't try to isolate himself.
Episode 37: Towards A New Destiny
  • Kenzaki barely hesitated before handing the Rouse Absorber to Leangle in exchange for Hajime's remaining cards. He also handed over his belt to Tachibana in exchange for Category King card.
  • Tachibana took the Category King card from Hirose so he could give it to Kenzaki, who believes using it will give Hajime the strength to maintain control. Tachibana hates Hajime for being Undead and, even more so, Joker, but he trusts Kenzaki's judgement.
Episode 38: One Who Takes Hold Of Destiny
  • Hajime achieves Wild Chalice and is back to himself. When he looks at his reflection in water for the first time after this, he smiles in the brightest, happiest way so far.
  • Hajime reuniting with Amane after she was kidnapped by Mutsuki. Hikaru even quotes: "Right now this guy is giving off almost no Undead aura" and decides he is not worth fighting for the moment.
  • Tachibana let himself be tricked by Hirose because he wanted to save Kenzaki. It was not a smart decision, but being attached to people around him can cloud Tachibana' judgement sometimes and he was worried. He tries to fix his mistake after realizing he has been tricked.
  • Kotaro's conversation with Hajime shows that while he still doesn't trust the guy any further then he could throw him, he accepts that Kenzaki does and runs with it. Not that it would stop him from still being passive agressive about things a little, but neither of them are hostile to each other anymore. Kotaro thanks Hajime for finding Amane and bringing her to hospital and then just adds that all the mess is his fault anyway. Hajime doesn't try to fight him on that, also because he is too busy running off to save Kenzaki from using King form while fighting Leangle.
  • Arriving at the place, he finds Kenzaki overhelmed by King form and behaving like Joker. When words can't reach him, Hajime let's him attack. And Kenzaki tries, but just can't force the hit to connect. Can't hurt Hajime, no matter the circumstances. It cancels the transformation and he still looks pretty disturbing coming out of it, but then he looks at Hajime and he is back to himself. It also helps that it's the first time he sees Hajime after the latter has achieved Wild form and regained control over Joker, so it's only now that he finds out it all worked out.
  • It's also the time when they let go of all their previous hostility and smile at each other.
  • Tachibana and Hajime decide to set aside their personal distastes when it comes to each other for Kenzaki's sake and fight together with him.
Episode 40: Parting With The Past
  • Mutsuki coming to Hikaru's aid by bangaging her arm.
Episode 41: A Desire To Get Stronger
  • Even after how her boyfriend's become, Nozomi still cares about Mutsuki to check up on him.
  • Mutsuki feeding Hikaru a rice snack as a sign of hospitality, which she finds delicious.
    Episode 42: Leangle Revived
  • Mutsuki finally getting freed from Spider's control via Shima and Hikaru. After Hikaru got herself sealed, Mutsuki eventually ended up in his subconscious to where Shima greeted him. Then Hikaru also appeared and gave him advice to overcome his inner darkness.
  • Nozomi hugging Mutsuki after the latter sobs about wanting to be more stronger.
    Episode 43: Foe Or Friend?
  • The gang having a party near a river to celebrate Mutsuki returning to his old self, including Hajime and Amane who are just off from the main group.
    • The two then start throwing stones in the river and Hajime is clearly enjoying himself.
  • While he has been tricked into believing Kenzaki is under the Undead's influence Hajime vowing to free him of it like he had for done for him is genuine. Mutsuki does the same for Tachibana.
    Episode 44: Fourcards
  • Contining on from the previous episode, both Hajime and Mutsuki insist on shadowing Kenzaki and Tachibana respectively in case they are falling under the Undead's control purely out of concern. It's quite touching considering the for most of the series the Riders were at odds for so long.
    • Hajime especially, after declaring he will be keeping a close eye on Kenzaki, he just sits right down on Kotaro's living room floor determined not to leave. Then Kotaro comes in with some homemade milk pudding and happily declares he even made one for Hajime which he accepts with a grateful smile and nod, then Kenzaki says he doesn't deserve it and scoff's it.
  • In general, seeing all four of the main Riders working together as comrades is great.
  • Doubles as a Funny moment, the second to last scene of the episode is Kenzaki and Kotaro hanging out at Jacaranda with Hajime, complimenting him on his acting ability when the former suddenly remembers Kenzaki squirting lemon juice in his eyes which playfully returns with a smile on his face. Considering how Hajime was at the start of the series and how he and Kotaro never really got along it's nice to see the three guys being friends.
    Episode 45: The New Card
  • Mustuki gets quite a few this episode:
    • Kenzaki trusting Mutsuki with the Elephant Rouze Card.
    • Mutsuki talking to Hajime about the possibility of humanity coexisting with the Undead. Using Hajime himself as well as Shima and Hikaru as examples of how there are those that could or at least be open to the idea.
    • Mutsuki and Nozomi enjoying a bike ride together until Mustuki recognizes the final King Undead, Nozami sees he wants to chase after him and doesn't stop him even encouraging him.
    • Once he catches up with him and proposes his idea to him, the Undead just laughs it off declaring he doesn't really want humans in the world at all if he would win the Battle Fight, despite that Mustuki still pushes him out of the way of Kerberos' attack.
    • During his fight with Kerberos, Mutsuki unseals the Elephant Undead and asks if he'll fight along side him of his own free will. The Undead turns and nods, they don't last long but they seems to work well together.
  • Tachibana comes across Hajime now stuck in his Joker form, after the Undead collapses Tachibana recognizes his chance to seal him but instead brings him to an abandoned house to rest and calls in Kenzaki and the others.
    Episode 47: Garren Eliminated
  • Tachibana was originally bent on eliminating Hajime, but thanks to the call the latter got from Amane, the former reconsidered and fought to believe his friends, even after Kanai later screamed at him of the perils if Joker is the last Undead standing.
    Episode 48: Prologue To Destruction
  • Even after being a berserk Joker, Hajime doesn't want any harm to Amane and forces the Darkroachi that were gonna attack her to forcibly back off to ensure her safety and that she could escape.
    Episode 49: The Eternal Trump
  • For how brutal it is for him, Kenzaki forgoes his humanity and has to stay away from his friends so Hajime could live a normal life and be happy for a change.
