Heartwarming / It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie

Go To

  • The statue of Kermit seen in the film, which in a Call-Back to The Muppet Movie, is dedicated to
"The Lovers, the Dreamers, and you."
    • This is a sweet shout out to Muppet fans as a whole, and to the song, "The Rainbow Connection", itself, as it was a Number One song at one point in time, sung by Kermit himself in The Muppet Movie. The song is still associated with the Muppets (and Kermit himself in particular) to this day.
  • Kermit and Gonzo's duet in the alternate-reality mall. Doubles as a Tear Jerker.
  • The ending is this in spades. Pepe gets the theatre designated as a historical landmark so Ms. Bitterman can't tear it down. The money Fozzie lost ended up with the Salvation Army, meaning it went to a good cause. So everybody but Bitterman wins.
    • Kermit returns from his It's a Wonderful Plot and commits the expected happy fit, greeting all his confused co-stars happily in spite of supposedly losing everything. He even gives a sulking Piggy a Big Damn Kiss, leaving her ecstatic.
    • The end credits with the Muppets, carolers and even Joe Snow singing "Everyone Matters" outside the Muppet Theater.
  • This was the first major Muppet project to feature Eric Jacobson taking over from Frank Oz as Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear and Animal (he wouldn't take up Sam the Eagle, played here by Kevin Clash, until 2005's The Muppets' Wizard of Oz). Needless to say, he establishes himself very quickly as the worthy successor to Oz's legacy.
