• Peaches and Louis' friendship in general.
  "You never leave a friend behind."
• Manny and Diego's interactions with Sid in the 4th one are in general a lot less vitriolic than in the first three movies. Possibly out of sympathy after his family abandoning him for the second time and unlike his biological family, they really do care for Sid. For example:
  • Manny's interaction with the paralyzed Sid.
  • Diego vainly trying to stop Sid from eating a lotus berry, as he knows what will happen when eaten.
  • Manny admitting to Sid at the end that he is not a screw-up, but a hero.
• Granny telling Sid that he has a "nice family" — a real family — in the herd. Sid wraps his arm around his granny and says "Yeah, I'm pretty lucky." The look on his face shows that he is definitely grateful to have his friends.
• Despite her being shown as a stereotypical rude elder, Granny does seem to truly care for Sid.
• Manny reuniting with his wife and daughter!
  (Ellie and Peaches see Manny triumphantly riding on Precious' back)
  Peaches: Dad!
  (All the teen mammoths high trunk each other.)
  Manny: How's that for an entrance?
  (Manny goes up to his wife and daughter, who happily embraces him)
  Peaches: Dad!
  Ellie: Manny! I told you your father would never give up on us.
  Manny: Never.
  • Plus how Manny and Ellie wrap their trunks around with Peaches in between◊.
• When everyone is being entranced by the Sirens, the latter take the form of whatever they want most. While Sid, Diego and Granny get superficially "attractive" entities (a lady sloth for Sid, Shira for Diego and a muscular male sloth for Granny), Manny sees Ellie and Peaches—what he wants most is his family.
  • How does he see through the siren's illusion? Through realizing that "Ellie" saying he was always right when he knows she would never say that, showing how well he knows how his wife.
