Season 1

Here

  • None of the inventors at the tryouts are rude or catty to each other. In fact they’re having fun together, showing off their inventions to one another and even praising the other. They even offer kind words to Guy who stated he had nothing special.
    • Later we see them all celebrating together. To the point of gloating, but at least they're happy for each other.
  • The secretary in her own way offer Guy comfort and supports as he’s about to go before the Honchos.
  • Despite not being able to do anything fun EB’s friends still come over to offer to play with her. They never make her feel bad for not having a Suess version of a bicycle, but instead offer her a ride.
  • While after having his dreams crushed and just a bad day, Sam puts the pieces together that that Guy is a failed inventor and politely reminds the waitress that Guy has been waiting on his meal. Guy is genuinely touched by this and even thanks Sam. This is even more touching when you realize this is the only amount of kindness he’s received all day.
  • Sam is a sweet, kind guy to everyone he meets. Buying their meals, taking pictures, and just showing he cares.
  • A quick moment, but the moment Guy hears sounds from his case he immediately pulls it out of the fire and looks concern, as well as confused.
  • Some of the Missed Connections ads are very cute.
At a frankfurter roast on the beach. You had a star on your belly. I didn't. Everyone may say we don't belong together but I don't care. You're the only star I need.

Car

  • Guy is terrified that he’s going to die, but it turns out that the Chickeraffe just wants to play with him, making adorable faces until even Guy can’t help but smile.
    • Especially heartwarming as it's the first time he smiles since his invention blew up last episode.
  • After the hotel worker sings Guy a lullaby and puts the Chickeraffe to sleep, Guy thanks him and even tips him. Not bad for a grump who just went through the worst day of his life.
  • When Sam gets what he believes to be the Chickeraffe to his home he is more than ready to hug the creature and play. He even says it’s the first of many hugs.
  • While it’s for his own means, Sam still saves Guy from the BADGUYS.
  • Afterwards as they’re driving away Sam assures Guy that he is 100% safe with him.
  • Sam lets the Chickeraffe out and defends guy from calling him a thing, despite it not having a name. (Though he likes Guy Jr.)
  • The Chickeraffe is happy to see Guy, despite slamming the poor dude around, licking him, and just annoying him.
  • Sam tells Guy that he believes Guy is destined for great things. Shame Guy has been through the wringer so much that he himself doesn’t believe it.
  • EB wanting to help Guy. Shame her mother doesn’t feel the same.
  • Sam comes back for Guy in the end and welcomes him back as travel buddies.
  • As Guy takes a nap Sam once again promises that Guy is safe with Sam behind the wheel. Proven wrong two seconds later though; when Guy wakes up Sam is out of the car which is barreling towards a lake.

Train

  • Doubles as a moment of awesome when Sam saves Guy from barreling into a lake with the car by using his hats and laundry line.
  • Sam who saw the invention earlier admit that he thought it was interesting and wonderful. Then despite Guy’s words he jumps in to retrieve it as he can see through Guy’s lies.
  • While it doesn’t make Guy feel better Sam is trying to act supportive of Guy watching paint dry when they’re in the train car, probably trying to make up for last time they talked about it.
  • Sam feels bad for the Chickeraffe and lets it out to play—before he escapes.
  • Very small, but seeing Michellee tuck in her daughter was cute.
  • After seeing EB so overprotected it was really wonderful to see her so happy watching the stars on top of the train with Sam. And Sam really opens up to EB.
  • After seeing Michellee insult and belittle Guy every time the two met they bond after showing annoyance at a guy. She even thanks Guy when he helps her remember where she left off in bean counting.
    • They even get to have a quiet talk with one another later that comes across as adorable.
  • Sam lets EB name the Chickeraffe Mr. Jenkins, even though Sam himself really wanted "Guy Jr".
  • Small, but when Sam sees EB’s mom and Guy approach he calls Guy his very best grumpy friend.
  • The Narrator is a shipper on deck for Guy and Michellee
  • Before going to bed Sam asks Guy which car was his favorite and Guy immediately states the quiet car. He tries to cover this up, but the audience knows the truth. He then very sweetly tells Sam goodnight.
  • The next morning, Mr. Jenkins nuzzles a sleeping Guy. Even though Guy doesn't like him yet, Mr. Jenkins love for him is very sweet.
  • EB playing a little with Mr. Jenkins

Fox

  • Sam trying to comfort Mr. Jenkins after Guy leaves.
  • Then there’s their ecstatic reactions when Guy returns to warn them about the BADGUYS. Sam even takes what he calls a quick family portrait.
  • Despite what he says Guy does all he can to get the two to safety.
  • Michellee and Guy had really developed a friendship together, so much so that she invites the boys to eat with them.
  • After Guy tries to leave again Mr. Jenkins calls Guy Papa
  • Despite being tsundere about it, Guy does decide to stay to look after him. He even promises to stick around until he knows Mr. Jenkins is safe. They even cuddle a little before Sam returns.
  • When it comes to trying to feed Mr. Jenkins, the bird is chanting “papa, papa” over and over. Guy may be annoyed, but it’s still cute.
  • Near the end Guy admits to Sam that they are sort of like a family and that it’s just best to surrender and stick around. He even measures Sam on a wall and writes his name. Sam is really touched by this and agrees, saying he’s glad he “let Guy stick around” and that together they are a recipe for success.

Dark

  • Despite loving Eggs the fox is willing to try and give then up for his love.
  • He lets Sam and Guy keep the ties as long as they keep quiet about the eggs.
  • When Michael the Fox offhandedly admits to being a feminist (by saying Sandra is her own woman), Guy's only response is to reveal himself as one, and congratulate Michael for his admirable progressiveness.
  • Guy saves Sam as the fox is about to attack him.
  • Sam shows Guy the sunset. He doesn’t appreciate it, but it’s the thought that counts.
  • Guy really steps into his “papa” role for the Chickeraffe, nagging the bird softly for eating too fast and running on a full stomach.
  • Guy shows a moment of concern when Sam falls.
  • When they’re trap in a hole with junk, Sam encourages Guy to make something to get them out with the spare parts.
  • Even though it’s hard for her Michellee does let her daughter draw in ledger to make her happy.
    • After taking over her daughter’s last picture she tries to make up for it by complimenting her new one. She accidentally insults EB by saying Mr. Jenkins looks like a monster, but sees her mistake and starts to draw a new picture for her daughter.
      • EB finds the picture and the note and loves it so much that she cuddles with he mom and falls asleep in the arm chair.
  • Sam is constantly supportive of Guy and encouraging him to get back in the inventing game.
  • Sam has a doll of Guy, which he kisses before putting him back in his case.
  • Sam shares a Fizzy drink with Guy that he’s been saving for 17 years and then toasts to “Guy who is Sam’s best Friend.” Guy sighs, but doesn’t argue.
  • Even when it seems like they’re going to die Sam is optimistic that Guy can “invent them” out of trouble.
  • Guy saves Sam just before he is crushed, then gets to work on a machine that will save their lives.
  • As the Narrator puts it [Guy] just needed a little hope. And it was helpful to have a hope man in your corner, even if he is a dope.
    • Guy’s small smile at this scene counts too.

Mouse

  • After Guy waves down a taxi, the arresting officer catches up to Sam and politely asking him if he found his friends. When Sam forlornly answers that he lost them, the officer gives Sam a hug as he's arresting him.
Sam: You are a really good hugger.
    • Also just how polite Sam and the officer are to each other during the chase. They yell compliments at one another, the officer apologizes for having to arrest him, and Sam even goes back to open a door for him. Sure, it's all for comedy, but it shows how good the two of them are.
  • Even though it can be argued that Guy was guilt tripped into it, it was sweet of him to go back for Sam. After all, Sam had been supportive of him.

Rain

  • While his suggested methods aren't the most noble, Sam still goes out of his way to get Guy and Michellee together when he sees Guy has feelings for her.
    • Similarly, while both E.B. and Guy agree that using her to get on good terms with Michellee is "messed up," they still end up genuinely bonding through the evening's events, which indeed helps him earn Michellee's trust.
  • Guy praising EB as "a wizard at manipulation and completely self motivated".
  • That doofy, hopelessly in-love smile Guy makes when Michellee compliments him at the end. Awww!
  • Despite already knowing that the Giroosters can and will, as EB puts it, chew him up like gum and blow bubbles with him, the moment they start swarming on EB Guy yells at them to go after him instead.

Goat

  • Guy and Michellee flirting at breakfast, making heart shapes in their respective meals (Guy in his oat mush, Michellee in her bean curd) and showing them to one another, all while "Crimson and Clover" plays in the background.
  • McWinkle telling Gluntz not to beat herself up over losing Sam and Guy's trail, letting her know that things could be worse. She even hugs him afterward, to his chagrin. ("It just got worse").

House

  • Guy's family turns out to be incredibly loving and supportive, and immediately embrace Sam as one of their own.
  • Guy and Sam opening up to each other and revealing their insecurities is a really touching moment of both characters bonding with one another. Guy reveals he feels overshadowed by his family and that he's the disappointment. Sam tells Guy that he's lucky to have a family at all, let alone one who loves him as much as they do, revealing that he never had a family and all of the stories about his mother were made up. Sam assures Guy that his family loves him, and want him to be happy, and Guy assures Sam to keep searching for his mother.
    • After Sam leaves, Guy blows one of his pinwheels which lights up all of the Christmas lights around his treehouse, illustrating the newfound hope Sam's words instilled in him.

Boat

  • One of the fish underwater sees that Guy and Michellee are sad, so it tries to cheer Michellee up. it doesn't work at first, but then it sees them together and makes a heart with its tail.
  • With EB's unwitting help, Sam finally completes his Heel–Face Turn, and commits himself to getting Mr. Jenkins back home rather than giving him to Snerz.

There

  • Guy finally calls Sam his best friend.
  • McWinkle, in a civil, professional manner, shows a bit of concern after one of his targets (Guy) starts crying and begging for the BADGUYS not to hurt him.
  • Michelle taking EB to the Halls of Walls and revealing to her that she used to be a painter, but after her husband died, she decided to move to a safer location and take a steadier job in order to keep EB safe and provided for. EB gains a new respect for her mother after hearing this.
    EB: I’m sorry.
    Michelle: Whatever for?
EB: For making you give it up... being an artist.
Michelle: Are you kidding? You’re my greatest work of art.
  • When EB sees Sam dealing with Snerz and cries out in shock, the animals in Snerz's wall quickly pull her up and out of sight.

Anywhere

  • Guy knows he's going to be fired if he so much moves from his paint watching spot. But as soon as he hears EB in trouble, he rushes in to help.
  • True to the original story, Guy finally eats the Green Eggs and Ham, and finds it delicious. But unlike the original story, Guy decides upon himself to eat it so that he can win back Sam's trust.
  • The mouse reuniting with his family after 17 years.
  • Michael (the fox) looks to have finally gotten together with Sandra (his hen crush).
  • When McWinkle and Gluntz corner the four heroes, Sam pleads to them to let he and his friends send Mr. Jenkins home, saying that it's his "one last job". McWinkle responds to Sam's plea with three words.
    McWinkle: "Start...that...balloon."
    • As McWinkle walks off, he hands Gluntz his black cowboy hat and calls her "Agent Gluntz".
  • Sam, Guy, Michellee, and E.B. saying goodbye to Mr. Jenkins.
E.B.: "We love you, Mr. Jenkins!"
    Guy: "And we always will."
  • Even though Snerz had threatened to kill Sam if he didn't have the Chickeraffe, Sam still tells his employer to save himself.
  • Guy's invention turned out to be beneficial, as it helps him fly up to the balloon and defeat the Goat.
  • Guy gets a kiss from Michellee after sending Mr. Jenkins on his way (for real this time).
Michellee: Guy-Am-I, you are a reckless, dangerous man...
*Plants a Big Damn Kiss on his mouth*
    ...And I love it!
    • "I love you too!" The best part is that it's somewhat ambiguous whether Sam's jokingly saying it to Michellee or sincerely saying it to Guy.
  • The ending minutes has Sam and Guy, now best friends, chilling out at a local diner, and the waitress asks what they want to order. Sam takes his sweet time looking through the menu until...
Guy: Two orders of Green Eggs and Ham, please.
*Sam looks at him with a smirk, and Guy notices*
I like them. A conclusion that I would've come to eventually on my own.
    Sam: Mmm-hmm.
    *Guy sighs*
Guy: Thank you for getting me to try them, okay? Thank you, Sam-I-Am.

Season 2

Tinker Tailor Mother Spy

  • Guy's clearly a little insecure about his new role as E.B's stepfather, and it doesn't help that she absolutely adores Pam, whom she seems the "cool mom." After he saves E.B from falling of the camelope's back, though, there's a rather cute moment between the two.
Guy: Well... who's the "rad" parent now?
E.B: *hugs him* Still Pam, cause she's my hero. Also, never say "rad." But... *smiles* I'm actually good with you being a little more protective, Guy. Turns out I need a momlier stepdad after all.

To Yookia With Love

  • E.B and Looka exploring Yookia together and just having fun.
  • After E.B reveals that she is a "Zook" (or at least aligned with them as a result of Guy staying there), Looka doesn't get angry and instead immediately tries protecting her from his father.
  • The Reveal that Michellee is expecting a baby, with her even already painting an image where the whole family is together and E.B is holding him.

You Only Mom Twice

  • Pam covering Sam when they crash land and her helicopter explodes and then making sure he is okay.
  • As a result of the de-aging tendencies of an island they landed on, Sam and Pam slowly get younger and younger until Sam turns into a toddler around the age of when Pam decided to leave him at the orphanage. Suddenly, Pam's motherly instincts kick in and after Sam gets turned into a baby, she cuddles him in her arms like any mother would. Pam decides to stay at that moment for a while because it finally gives her a chance to take care of Sam again.
  • During the chase with Philip, Pam and Sam run out of the Fountain of Youth jungle, causing Sam to grow back into an adult and go through various phases - saying his first words, learning how to walk, learning how to ride a bike, losing his first tooth, going through an Emo Teen phase... all the while Pam acts like a typical supportive yet protective parent watching her child going through those stages, being happy that she now has the chance to see her son grow up in front of her.

The Mom Who Loved Me

  • E.B and Sam welcoming Guy Jr. into the world.
  • Sam and Pam go back to Sam's trailer in Glurfsburg together, where he cooks her his own green eggs and ham. She tells him that she loves them.
