  • Double subverted with Kurokawa comforting Fujishiro after the latter's boyfriend breaks up with her. While it's soon revealed that Fujishiro still (understandably) hates Kurokawa and hadn't meant to help her, the fact that the latter does manage to earn the former's friendship means that rather than being a case of easy forgiveness, two people who didn't care for each other ended up forging an unlikely friendship.
  • After Kurokawa ends up getting shunned by her group of friends for associating with Fujishiro, the two girls finally become friends.
Fujishiro: Look, I know I was wrong. It was my fault for doing whatever I wanted without thinking. But, Kurokawa. I do want to be your friend. Let me hear your true feelings. If, deep down inside, you think I'm really annoying, I'll promise never to bother you again. To me it doesn't matter how others look at us, or how different we are. I don't care about any of that. The only thing I care to hear... is what you want to do.
Kurokawa: (thinking) What... I want to do... My true feelings... (tears up, then speaks) Fujishiro... I want to be your friend, too...
  • In Chapter 35, Izumi tells Kurokawa that anyone can change, and that Fujishiro changed for the better because she had Kurokawa with her. This not only helps remind Kurokawa of the positive impact she has on Fujishiro, but also helps break down one of the last barriers between them... a development caused by the person who had unrequited feelings for Fujishiro, no less.
  • At the end of the series, after months of in-universe time, Fujishiro and Kurokawa finally complete the journey from enemies to friends to lovers.
  • In an Epilogue chapter, Fujishiro and Kurokawa finally start using each other's first names.
  • Another Epilogue chapter has Miki complain about Fujishiro's latest Instagram post, admitting in a roundabout and Tsundere way that she once again considers Fujishiro a friend.
