Heartwarming moments in Epithet Erased: Prison of Plastic.

  • Molly goes to Phoenica’s rescue when she’s about to be mugged by a mugger.
    • The reason Phoenica wants to protect her purse? Molly’s homework, which Phoenicia had sworn to protect, is inside it. And according to Molly, this isn’t the first time Phoenica has risked her life to protect something of Molly’s.
    • Trixie saves Molly and Phoenica by using scare tactics from her criminal family. And if the narration is anything to go by, her older siblings care for and love her.
    • Molly, Phoenica, and Trixie end up hugging each other after a scary experience, being glad each of them is there for their time of need.
  • When Giovanni states he plans to leave the Banzai Blasters, his squad mates, without hesitation, leave the criminal organization for him and his newly formed one. We even get a reason as to why they are so close to each other. Giovanni, who wasn’t their boss back then, brought joy and care to their missions, igniting their passion.
    • Giovanni doesn’t get mad when the rest of the squad informs him that they all have things to do on Friday. He even asks Ben to film Flamethrower's cheerleading tryout so he won’t miss it.
    • Giovanni gaining the codename "Creampuff" because when he was first assigned for his team, he brought cream puffs as a sign of good faith. It was a tease nickname, but his team did admit they tasted good.
    • They then jokingly called him "Boss" and then the nickname stuck, with Giovanni's boys genuinely referring to him as their boss.
  • Naven is just a nice guy for someone who's a CEO. When his company sales got hit because of the museum heist, he spent several hours helping his employees to settle this issue rather than leave them to the task.
    • Naven founded STEM to make life easier for those who don’t have an Epithet, who have often been pushed aside for those with powers.
    • Naven became a teacher despite being a rich CEO because Molly and her friends became interested in his advice and studies, and he continues to do so, becoming something of a home tutor for them.
    • Naven and Phoenica are fully aware of Molly’s home life and tried to make it easier by giving her family business some money to keep it afloat. Naven even goes so far as to call child services (to no avail due to her family's actions being legal in this city) and even considers the idea of taking her away from her family.
  • Giovanni (as Vincent Murder) lets his parental instincts take over and doesn't worry about Molly not noticing his cool new suit when he notices Molly's scared voice tone.
    • Molly gets Giovanni and Trixie (who are cousins) to stop fighting by gently patting them and telling them to stop and hug them out. Extra points for how the two stopped fighting when Molly got in the middle, not wanting to hurt her. Even Phoenica joins in on the hug.
    • Trixie reveals in her thoughts that Giovanni isn’t really a bad guy and actually does like him. When they were younger, he was always the life of the party to the younger family members, playing with her and her twin brother, teaching her brother how to skate, and helping start her interest in her hobby. Until today, they never really fought each other.
    • According to Trixie, Molly has been gushing over Giovanni since he helped her back at the museum.
  • Lorelai, as strange as it sounds, becomes a love-struck teenage girl when she sees Giovanni. Even more so when he praises her imaginative powers and ideas, something she doesn’t often get from others besides her dad. We get to see a different side of her that isn’t a spoiled childish teen, that being a lonely girl who is eager to latch onto someone who could at the very least become her first real friend in years. Extra points for how she gravitates to him before he even spoke, much less saw his face, simply being happy to meet someone who didn't find her weird and had no problem joining in on her roleplaying.
    • Giovanni was considering Lorelai as a potential minion until he found out she was Molly’s sister, remembering back during their first meeting and how Molly describes her family life, knowing she isn’t someone to trust without the permission of his number one minion.
    • Molly's eyes glow and become happy when Giovanni reveals he considers her his number 1 minion.
  • Lorelai, feeling guilty that she’s lying about baking cookies from the heart, confesses she used her powers to make some up after she burned the original. Giovanni comforts her and tells her that compares to how he blows up the toaster and his other minions could not bake, she’s doing better at her first time baking. When eating her burned cookies, Giovanni believes it isn’t that bad, and her next cookies will be better. Even when he’s getting by the trash can, he did not even spit out the bad cookies. Somewhat lessens when Trixie later reveals Giovanni can barely taste anything due to repeatedly burning his taste buds. But his behaviour is still nice.
  • Even though the two sisters already weren't getting along at the time, when their birthday came around (theirs are a week apart), Lorelai spent an entire day baking Molly sweets and building an elaborate fantasy world they could play in. Sadly, Molly had enough of sweets and she had so much work that week that she ended up spending her few hours of reprieve quietly watching the stars in the park with her friends.
  • Even if it's because Molly is tricking her, there's something sweet about how happy Lorelai gets from her sister paying attention to her and complimenting her work, especially when she becomes downright giddy at the thought that Molly earnestly wants to spend time with her; showing that despite everything, Lorelai does love Molly and wants her little sister to care about and look up to her like she used to.
  • The trio's accessories are revealed to have been hand-crafted by the three of them during class time.
  • More than halfway through the story, it's brought up that Trixie also goes by they/them pronouns, and Phoenica had set an alarm on her phone to let her know to switch Trixie's pronouns from "she" to "they". For the rest of the story, Trixie is referred to with gender neutral pronouns.
  • Even though Rick did survive Lorelai’s heartless spell, he still took a bullet for Molly, and things became easier between the two later on.
  • Rick mentions how jealous he is of Molly. Not of her family life, but the fact that she can easily make friends compared to him.
    • Rick reveals that he was a gladiator for his warlock king, who captured powerful people to fight against and get stronger. After figuring there was no way he could win, Rick made some friends who let him break glass, swim, and breathe underwater to escape, but halfway across the ocean his powers vanished. He believes his friend gave up on him like always, but Molly theorizes that there's actually a limit to how far he can be from his friends before losing their powers. Rick can't help but cry when he realizes his friends might not have given up on him.
    • Hearing Rick's story inspires Molly, causing her to realize that if he could escape from his own home prison, then she can do the same. This leads to the two to actually becoming friends, with Rick revealing his true name: Toidei Gourami. He tells her his friends call him Odi, and Molly responds by saying "Hi, Odi."
  • While Naven's reaction to the situation is frosty, he calmly dresses down Lorelai's insecurities because she hurt Molly's feelings. It's clear how much Naven cares for Molly and her wellbeing.
Naven: (quietly) You made her cry.
  • Giovanni, despite not being happy with how she treated the others, he does let Lorelai down gently that she failed and hopes she will improve later.
  • After Phoenica sees a dragon be beheaded, she states that she might need therapy after that. Molly comes in and offer her the phone number of her therapist, hinting it to be Sylvie.
  • Played somewhat for laughs, but Molly goes into super geek mode when Rick reveals he doesn’t know what a bear is. Just seeing Molly being overjoyed to share her interest with someone is sweet, something even Lorelai picks up.
  • Lorelai actually beginning to enjoy herself during the final battle and starting to figure out the difference between being a bad guy and a bad person, with Giovanni happily encouraging her changing mindset.
  • Despite all the hardship and chaos she brought him and Molly, Giovanni still sees good (er, bad) in Lorelai, leaving her a note that lets her know that she's always welcome to join him and his criminal organization when she's ready to be a bad guy but not a bad person.
  • Giovanni, seeing that she isn't happy at home, steals Molly away from the toy store and brings her to Crusher's treehouse at the end. The next day he and Crusher make her a huge breakfast buffet for her. Giovanni even goes as far as to gently yet firmly steer her into picking something to eat when she tries to refuse as he knows she deserves to have a good meal for breakfast and refuses to accept when she obviously just picks something at random. He wants it to be special.
    • During the "kidnapping," Giovanni, while they are far away from the toy shop, that if Molly is truly okay with this. Wanting to know if Molly would be happy with him than with her birth family. While Molly was in and out of it, she stated that this is fine.
    • In a rare moment for him, Crusher, when Molly wakes up, speaks in a soft yet gruff voice when talking in front of her. Not wanting to scare the girl as he was most likely informed of her home life and try to ease Molly into her new life.
    • Even though he is surprised Giovanni actually went through with it, Naven's tone of voices when commenting on the matter hints that he's actually glad Giovanni did something he wasn't able to for Molly's sake.
    • With some pushing, Molly finally eat the breakfast she truly wanted. Just having a simple taste without the need to cook it herself brings Molly to tears.
