* While [[FreezeFrameBonus it's due to her looking like Shino]], Haseo rushes over to Atoli when she faints during the first encounter with AIDA, covers her with his body when it looks like it's about to attack again, and rages at Kuhn when he tries to pass off AIDA as a bug in the data because Atoli fainted.
* A subtle moment in volume 1 that's significant because it's before Haseo's character development: Bo comes to the shop looking for an item for Saku that Haseo says is worth 6000GP. Haseo initially scolds Bo for not having enough money until Bo mentions it's a birthday gift for Saku, at which point Haseo offers him the item at a discount without question or hesitation, and sounds genuine when he says "Give my regards to your sister". Turns into funny when Atoli comes up afterwards.

* Most everyone in Raven/G.U. teams up with Haseo primarily for his usefulness; even when Pi gets to her VitriolicBestBuds phase, she's mostly close to Haseo for G.U. Kuhn, however, is just a nice guy, and while he teaches Haseo some important stuff about G.U.'s business and Avatars, some of his anger at Haseo in volume 1 and his interaction outside of that is just caring for Haseo as a friend.

* Reiko Saeki may be universally devoted to her brother, but it's very clear that here and now, she's strongly devoted to someone else: Takumi Hino. ** Extra heartwarming when you considering that only a short time ago, Sakaki seemed to have successfully slandered Haseo's reputation, even if the audience of the PK tournament in question were mostly made of people already predisposed to hate the former PKK to begin with. Now, with the arrival of the people who should outright hate Haseo coming to his aid, the last true stain of Sakaki is gone.

* Jun Bansyoya's letter to his half-sister Reiko, the last video of the ''Terminal Disc''. While it's primarily meant to safeguard the stolen Epitaph PC of Tarvos (i.e. the character of Pi) as he himself has to go into hiding before CC Corp finds him and the stolen Phase, he genuinely laments being unable to spend more time with her before he had to leave for work while she was still a pre-teen at best. Also equal parts TearJerker, but it clearly shows that this man constantly had a heart, even those around him didn't, and caused much damage as a result.

** One of the reasons he works so determinedly to make sure they stay oblivious to the true risks of AIDA is because Haseo sees Gaspard and Silabus as an example of what the world is really about - not fearing for world safety, not rescuing people from Comas, just normal people having fun together. He comments to himself that as long as people like them exist in the World, he will never stop fighting.
** Despite this, you can still include them in the people you call for the final battle against AIDA: and like everyone else, they immediately understand things are important and fight with the others, distracting AIDA's forces long enough to give Haseo a fighting chance to fix things.

* Basically everyone showing up at [[GondorCallsForAid the end of volume three]] to fight back against the AIDA viruses that are gradually destroying the server - literally all anyone is doing is buying Haseo and the other GU members time to do the real job - and the ''entire world'' collectively binds together to hold off the threat: all because Haseo asked them to.

** The FriendshipMoment with Silabus and Gaspard in the above quest counts. Despite him putting them through hell, they both genuinely like, support, and even somewhat admire Haseo. And while Haseo works more often with the other Phase users, Haseo realizes Silabus and Gaspard are easily his closest friends and that, despite his occasional grousing at them, he does care for them immensely.
